We stayed at Classic Villa in January 2017 as a family of three spending a couple of nights in Christchurch. The villa has lots of character and is very tastefully decorated. The rooms were large and comfortable. Peter was very welcoming and the large kitchen area is open to use by guests at any time to make a coffee, or...

Thanks Jan and Peter - Great location right in the centre of Christchurch. Professional hosts who provide a 5 star accomodation and service. Everything we needed was there. The dining room and lounge was warm and welcoming space. There were many awards on the walls and after staying the night I could see why. Very enjoyable stay.

Classic Villa is a wonderful B&B hotel with nice rooms and bath facilities. We stayed on two different occasions and found the guests to include a range of international travelers. The shared breakfast is fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has been kept up to date with modern bath facilities and safety features and comfortable beds. Notably,...

We last stayed 10 years ago and all that has changed is that garden has matured. The entire place has been exceptionally well maintained and clearly at significant cost. The mattresses and bedding were excellent and bathroom looked newly renovated. The attention to detail down to a litre of fresh milk in the fridge and variety of the continental breakfast...

Our third visit to NZ, and fourth stay at The Classic Villa. Always a wonderful experience with warm, welcoming service from Peter and his staff. Comfortable room and bed, lovely shower with plenty of hot water, and a great location in central Christchurch directly across from the rapidly-rebuilding Arts Centre. I must stay when visiting the city.

We were treated by a lovely couple who went out of their way to make us feel as part of a family. The owner woke up at 4:45 am and cooked all morning a feast for Christmas breakfast while the lovely wife attended to all guest always ensuring we were taken care of. Overall truly the best and nicest stay...

This boutique b & b has a lot going for it: Kate @ reception, perfect location and well decorated. The cold breakfast had a good variety of fruit, breads, cheese and beverages. We were placed into a handicapped accessible room which meant that the entire bathroom floor would be soaked when one of us showered. Since we didn't request, need...

Perhaps they were under the pressure of Christmas!! It is very disappointing to get reviews like this. Especially when we had had long friendly conversions with these guests, who said they were very happy. Please be upfront. Room 6 is one of our Corporate Rooms that the guests Agent booked. Yes the bathroom does have an accessible shower. There is...

Samll hotel/B&B in a good location. Reception only available at limited times. Decorated to a high standard but the beds are extra hard. I complained about this and was moved to a better room at no extra cost. This room had a normal bed but the shower would only provide enough hot water for one person. A significant charge was...

We new from when these guests first booked in they were going to cause us grief. We went out of our way to look after them. There a lot of accusations made that are very exaggerated and not factual. To future guests that we hope will stay with us; please take the time to read the over 200 reviews that...

This is a wonderful place! Kate, the manager, I believe she is, is a warm, gracious host and welcomed me kindly when I came in to the hotel. This is a small boutique hotel with well-appointed decor, very comfortable rooms and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning is what all small hotels should strive to do in...

If you are driving, parking is adequate but tight. The rooms are all large, well equipped and quiet. The breakfasts were diverse and of high quality and all the staff were helpful and knowledgeable.
