A really lovely place, great location near shops and not far to walk to town centre. Also easy access to airport. The studio was really clean and spacious. Owners were great and very helpful. Highly recommend
A really great hotel the owners are warm and accomodating the rooms stylish roomy and comfortable. The Manor was built in 1882 and has been renovated and furnished in gtreat style. The owners are extremely helpful and can’t do enough for you to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It is in walking distance of the town centre with plenty of food and other shops . I highly recommend the Monor and will be back when I visit Christchurch.
Merivale Manor deserves it high praise.. I stayed three nights in the Manor House in a beautiful room upstairs which was sunny & secure. Very convenient to Merivale Village & easy walk into the city centre. The room is beautifully decorated, bed luxurious and the shower is exceptional. The hosts are very welcoming & the property is fastidiously maintained.
Thoroughly enjoyed 3 nights at Merivale Manor. First night was pre-knee surgery, I stayed in a studio apartment which was clean and well equipped. Post surgery, I stayed in the Merivale Manor house. Beautifully refurbished, the ground floor apartment was the perfect place to relax and recuperative from surgery. Wayne and Karen were very kind making sure I had what I needed. The room was spacious, peaceful, and restorative. The morning to afternoon sun streaming in through the windows is just what I needed each day. The manor house is quiet, clean, and inspiring. Highly recommend for visitors to Christchurch or for those looking for the perfect post surgery healing place. Great location as it is close to shops, restaurants, take away, St. George's hospital and groceries. I've stayed in several Christchurch hotels/motels for business over the past 6 years. Merivale Manor is the best!…
High grade personable hospitality and classic establishment; exquisitely preserved. Terrific doorstep access to a vibrant urban scene, cafe's, mall, gardens, boutiques and restaurants. Rooms were beautiful and clean with a cosy but spacious vibe. The hosts were on hand for friendly local advice or requests. Merivale Manor is a vintage Christchurch landmark,... preserving the bygone era of when things were done properly and how it should be when you expect quality from service through to the facilities. We will be back again soon for sure.
Absolutely perfect stray here...the hosts were amazingly friendly & even gave us a potato to 'waterproof' our windscreen as the classic car wipers decided to stop!! Nothing was a problem & will definitely stay again Thank you Wayne & Karen
My bridal party stayed here over the weekend and and Wayne and Karen were Great hosts! Nothing was an issue and helped us make everything run smoothly they accommodated our wedding cars too! Five stars from the new Mr and Mrs!
The stay was very pleasant and hosts were also top notch. We will definitely being staying there again. The units were lovely and clean. The property was handy to shops and also a good 😊 walk into the city centre.
From the warm welcome on arrival to the most comfortable tastefully decorated accommodation, the Merivale Manor for us was the highlight of our six week South Island road trip. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. They made us the best barista quality coffee, somewhere to clean our car and good laundry facilities are just a few of the things we appreciated. We stayed for three nights. Really comfortable bed, hence the best sleeps on our travels. Handy location. A home away from home. A huge thankyou to our hosts Karen, Wayne and Josh.
Every time we visit Christchurch Merivale Manor is our first stop. Wayne & Karen are very welcoming & fun. Great position near the city centre & easy walking distance to Hayley Park, gorgeous Botannical gardens art centre etc. They will provide us with bikes too. We have a favorite room but they are all spacious clean & comfortable Highly recommended & we will be back.
