We stayed 2 nights over the New Year period, and chose this place due to it's fantastic location (with so many bars, cafes and restaurants nearby) and the excellent value for money. We didn't have a car so we wanted somewhere right in the middle of town, but without the often accompanying horrendous price tag (just using it as a place to sleep). Check in was quick and easy and the room was spacious enough (studio room). The bed was comfortable and the shower good (consistent temperature and pressure). Best of all was the location - the tram stops right outside and an Uber to anywhere we went was less than $10. Due to it being a public holiday on 1st January there was a notice that rooms would not be serviced on this day, so we asked for some extra milk and coffee sachets and were given plenty to tide us over. The room was quiet enough at night in spite of the central location. The air conditioning was by way of a standalone floor unit with an external pipe, it was pretty noisy but necessary due to the heat.

The room smelled very clean, everything was in working order and most of all, very comfortable. I would stay again for sure.

Stayed here four nights.
Arrived just after 9pm on a Wednesday night. Reception closed at 9pm and instructions taped to door for “late arrivals” Required to ring duty manager via night speaker phone by door. ( Fortunately had emailed prior to travelling so expected this). Other travellers not aware and found myself on two occasions showing other late arrivals the process. Duly rang number for duty manager and waited several minutes before phone was answered. Manager opened door remotely and instructed to look in tray on reception desk where there was an envelope with our name inside which were room number, door key cards and instructions on how to find room and a request to present to reception the following morning.
Had no problem following instructions but don’t think 9pm is late and find this a little odd for a large apartment hotel with many international visitors. Although a friend had previously commented that we should be aware as NZ “closes early”.
Otherwise had a very pleasant stay in very comfortable studio room. No kitchenette but fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee plunger. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied and crockery and cutlery for two. Also iron and ironing board and clothes airer for hanging a small amount of laundry.
Excellent shower with plenty of hot water but bathroom small with no space to put own things round sink. This area is begging for a shelf and there is ample room on the wall next to mirror. This lack of space seems to be a common problem in hotels. Also could do with a couple of hooks near entry door for hanging outdoor jackets.
This hotel is in excellent location, close to Cathedral Square, walking distance to CBD and there is a restaurant precinct close by and tourist tram runs right outside.
Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night in a studio room and we found it excellent value for money. The checkin was quick and professional, the room was spacious, clean, with good wardrobe space. The bathroom, although not large was perfectly adequate. There was a microwave, toaster, jug and well stocked tea and coffee etc, including a coffee plunger.
The location is perfect and the tram noise was minimal.
We would definitely stay here again.

Very central to all attractions, restaurants, the tram stop is right near reception. We had two apartments with interconnecting doors, the rooms were clean and spacious with small kitchen and washer/dryer. Parking underneath fir an additional fee.

Quest hotels close early so when my train was running late and I wouldn’t get to the hotel before 8pm I asked the train attendant to call for me. She got instructions for me so when I got to the hotel I knew what to do. An envelope was waiting with my name and a key. This Quest has two buildings with a parking lot inbetween and various elevators one must figure out, signs are not good, to find way to the section where other rooms are! In the morning it was a further challenge coming out to find the front desk! The room was fine, usual hot pot with instant coffee and a refrigerator. View was of the adjacent building with glass roof to see where the trolley is stationed. Desk gal was accommodating with ordering a taxi for me to get back to the train the next day. Location was fine being in town center.

Although the reception is not occupied 24/7, we received our keys and nicely prepared information easily. The room was clean, provided enough space, however, a kind of ‚temporary‘ aircondition took away quite a bit of space. The bathroom was small with no possibilities to store your own equipment. A quite clean washing machine and a not quite so clean tumbler were available near the reception for free. Very good NZ organic (!) coffee for a french presswas provided in the room. The location is very good, everything can be reached by foot. Very recommendable!

My husband and I stayed with our 3 year old son and it was perfect for us. We had a 1 bedroom apartment and found the size very generous and well equipped. Staff were great and very accommodating with all requests, including a very late request for breakfast. Basement parking made unloading and getting our bags to the room really easy. Would happily make tjis our go to Chch accommodation in the future.

We have stayed at Quest in Chrischurch on a number of occasions and have always found the staff to be excellent , the location central and our room, always the same one by request, is just what we need.

We especially appreciate the washing machine and the clothes airer.

Car parking is available with prior booking.

We stayed for 2 nights in the East wing in Rm 201a and b. 2 bed apartment with Two bathrooms sharing with another couple. The only issue for us was the lounge seating was far too low. Everything else was awesome. The location was great with the tram stop right outside and underground parking for an extra $18 pn. Great value. Would stay again.

Moved in here at the start of lock down as the hotel we were in was not providing a great variety of food. Staff were always friendly and helpful, location was very convenient both for city centre sites of interest and supermarkets. Good facilities to self cater (but no oven).

We got the bus to the airport. It was a short walk to the bus stop, less than 5 minutes. A lot cheaper than getting a taxi!

The standard bedding in a two bedroom apartment is for four person, to accommodate the fifth person, we usually added a roll away bed in the lounge if needed. Thank you
