This motel is quite close to Westfield shopping centre and there are a lot of dining options within walking distance.
When I enquired about a room further from the road I was upgraded to a much nicer room at no additional cost.
The room was clean , complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Television and comfortable beds which is just what you want went you’ve spent 3 days in the Paparoa ranges

The staff at this motel were so friendly and helpful. They provided airport and car rental transport outside of regular hours for a very reasonable price. The room was very clean with a nice-sized refrigerator and kitchentte area. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. I recommend this motel, especially for arrivals or departures from the Christchurch Aiport.

Had a great stay here. Owners were so nice and accommodating and nothing was a problem. We were allowed to keep our bags there past checkout time which was very convenient for us and kind of them. Room was fantastic with plenty of heaters and spacious. Thanks heaps and we will be back to stay another time.

There are no side tables at all where you can put little things. Dishes in the drawer were still dirty esp the mugs, really dirty with hardened coffee. There was only half a tissue roll in the toilet upon arrival and we were not supplied with more until the third night. The internet is really bad that you have to reconnect every two minutes almost. WORST MOTEL.

This motel is recommended as a place to stay. It is neat, clean, spacious, and a little up to date. The staff are very good and helpful. The price of this motel is a little below average as it is worth it for what this motel is. So if you do not have much to spend, stay here.

The motel room was very clean, however it was very cold. We were there in the winter, and they supply you with an oil heater that struggles to keep the room warm. An electric blanket is also provided which is great when you're in the bed...but when you're not, be prepared to hang around in a sweater/jumper.

We also had problems when checking in because we booked and payed for the room online and did not receive a voucher - which was essential to confirm payment. The lady at the motel told us that even though we had a receipt number, we needed a voucher otherwise we would have to pay her again. We managed to sort it out and didn't end up having to pay double...but be wary about this if you're booking via the web.

The location is good - close to many shops and restaurants and about a 10 min drive from the city centre. The road is also frequented by many buses.

A microwave and kettle are provided, as well as complimentary milk, tea and coffe - which was good.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, quite small, not new but in good condition and very clean. The price was reasonable and the lady who checked us in organised the free shuttle to the train the next morning. Quite a walk to the Riccarton shops to get food. Its right on Riccarton Road so traffoc is a bit noisy until about 10at night
I would stay here again

I stayed there for 3 nights with my family at the end of Aug, 2005.

A nice little motel conveniently located near some cheap takeaways - a little bit of a walk to the nearest mall, though. Nice place if you have a car/vehicle to go about Christchurch.

The room was clean and complete with everything we might need to use in the kitchenette incl cutlery and cooking utensils. The rooms were cleaned with utmost efficiency everyday. The beds have heaters which were nice during the cold nights. The room heater was small but did the job. The bathroom sink needs mixers (I live in Malaysia where it is always hot!) so we ended up brushing our teeth at the kitchen sink instead. Heated towel rack was nice.

The caretakers were very friendly and helpful - probably the BEST thing about the motel!

Due to the recent earthquake, we had to detour for miles to get to Christchurch from Picton - a total of 12 hours driving. We didn't get to the motel until well after 11 pm. However, we rang ahead to the motel and they were great - they made sure we were able to get into our room and get to bed and settle with them in the morning. This was great and the room was incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed. It was mostly all one room but fairly spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We are going back there towards the end of our trip and are sure we'll be equally as comfortable then.
