Detailed Reviews
This is a great place to stay very comfortable very clean and tidy. Peter & Tessa we’re the best hosts you could ask for nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely be back to stay again. Nice grounds well maintained gardens, makes you feel like you are at home. Nice and quiet yet close to airport. We traveled down the east coast then up the west coast stayed in a lot of motels and this was by far the BEST place we have stayed in. Great end to our holiday.

Amazing. Absolutely lovely. Everything you need after a day out and about. Beautiful and clean with so many little things that you need and they're there. Little things like a long mirror, electric blankets on the beds and not just a jug but also an old school pot to make a proper cuppa in the morning. BBQ area. Check. Clean and tidy everything. And the effort that goes into keeping the grounds tidy and slick are noticed. Beautiful 👌 look forward to coming back tonight after another day out. Thanks Peter and Tess. You've got it going on 👍

Spotlessly clean & comfortable accommodation with good bathroom & well set up kitchenette. Peter collected us from the airport late in the evening & drove us to breakfast & pick up our camper vans the next day. They couldn’t have been more welcoming , helpful & accommodating. Highly recommended if you are arriving at Christchurch Airport or exploring the wider Christchurch area.

The couple who own and run this motor lodge are so lovely. They go out of their way to welcome you and help with anything you might need. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The garden was in full bloom and the hydrangeas were stunning! I can recommend it wholeheartedly!

What a lovely place to stay! The grounds are filled with beautiful flowers. There is parking close to the door. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The unit has everything you need to stay for a few days, although we only stayed one night. I’d happily stay again.

Absolutely perfect- the owner or manager was so kind and super lovely putting us up at the last minute in a snug studio with a comfy king bed and kitchenette.
All I wanted was to hear my soup and go to bed warm and I had the best nights sleep in ages. Warm, cosy and quiet!
Would definitely come back if I was on business or passing through! Great value for money!

We stayed here recently and got a newly furnished room. Great location and very tidy modern rooms. Peter and his wife were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend staying here and we will certainly be back again or sending friends and family there.

So, read the sign by the door that says how to turn the outside security light off. Unlike us, we went to bed & didn’t see the sign until the morning. It was so bright, which meant a rubbish sleep.
Shame because it was a lovely place, friendly and very clean.
It is out of the way from places to eat, but was good for a quick exit in the morning for our long drive.

Peter, the proprietor was helpful, and so generous of spirit! You sense the pride he has of this wonderful place!
The room was well appointed, modern facilities, and very well cared for.
Gardens are beautiful… and well tended, again you can see the pride of ownership.
Cleaning staff were wonderful and gave us options to dine out on our last night in New Zealand!
Thank you to Peter and his staff!
Highly recommend this one!!
