What can I say about this fantastic place that is a home away from home; particularly if you have your precious pooch with you and are looking for peace and quiet at an affordable price. Your hosts Gerald and Sharyn are wonderful people who over and above to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible and as they are dog lovers, your dog will be afforded the same welcome. Our family of 6 adults and 2 dogs stayed one night in 3 rooms. Sharyn was just lovely and couldn't have been more friendly. She made us all feel very special and we loved the care she took to inform us about what was happening around the area and where we could take our dogs for exercise etc. Our rooms were fine and had all the bells and whistles you would expect from this level of accommodation. There was large expanses of lawn and peaceful, considering how close we were to the main road. We all felt rested after our long journey (we had travelled from Blenheim the day before) and continued our road trip after saying a heartfelt thank to Gerald and Sharyn. In finishing, post covid, all our hospitality businesses, particularly accommodation, are struggling and its great to see that even with the stresses involved, Gerald and Sharyn remain committed to meet the expectations of their guests. I wish them every success during these tough times.

Wow thank you so much for your review. Yes times are tough but we have to keep smiling despite all the pressures put on us. It's great that you enjoyed your stay with us along with your dogs. Yes Sharyn is lovely and I'm very fortunate to have her as my wife and business partner. We don't get much traffic noise despite being close to the main highway. I wish you all the best in your future ventures and if you need a place to stay in ChCh you know where to come.

We were coming down from the North Island and we needed a place to stay before our final destination and we came across Chardonnay Motor lodge. It was a lovely place to stay, exceptionally clean and the owners were lovely and it was excellent for the dogs with the big outdoor area.

Stayed over holiday period. Useful and attractive layout of units. Much quieter than we thought it might be. Helpful location for airport and north ChCh. Good value all round. Heating was effective. Cleaning was maintained.

A pleasant welcome but all down hill from there a very cold unit and didn't heat up for hours on arrival . Found a very lack of general maintenance plenty of damage to cupboards toilet lack of cleaning in bathroom . Out of all the accomadation we stayed at this was the worst value for money by a long shot and most run down avoid unless desperate

So you sat in the room for hours and didn't say anything?? I fixed the heat pump within 10 minutes. Damage to cupboards?? OK the room wasn't cleaned to our usual high standards, we have spoken to our cleaners and we will be doing more checks. I know we live in an on line world but you can talk to us. We do live onsite and are able to fix most problems or find you an alternative room.
