The B&B feels like it should be in a little town somewhere not in the middle of Christchurch which is what we loved about it. The building has lots of character and the room was nice. It is in a great location to explore Christchurch and a nice breakfast was included. The staff were really accommodating and friendly. The only downside was that the bed was a bit hard but everything else was great.
From the ambience of the elegant old home, to the great service and fabulous breakfast, this was a great base for our extended family over last weekend while we all attended a family wedding. Comfortable and spotlessly clean, the roominess of the old mansion, the superb central, but quiet, location, and the accommodating staff made this a very pleasant stay for us all. Thank you to Jill and all the staff. Thoroughly recommended.
The welcome was warm, friendly and made you feel at home straight away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The whole experience was homely & relaxing. The location is ideal for the city centre and local attractions
We were only there for one night, but it was fabulous and will definitely stay again. The receptionists Julie and Shirley were friendly and helpful, the house is stunning and beautifully appointed. Room and ensuite excellent. Breakfast also excellent and plenty of it, including cooked eggs. Nice to relax in the lovely lounge and chat to others with a complimentary glass of wine before dinner in the evening. On site free parking and we were able to leave our car there whilst we did a bit of touring of the city, plus the offer to help ourselves to a coffee/tea and make use of the bathroom on our return. The Orari is so close to all the tourist attractions of the city it's amazing. Thank you very much. Such value for money. Strongly recommend!!
The renovations here are stunning, quite a nice luxury feel. But unfortunately I found the mattress hard and thin. My room was a Queen with my own bathroom across the hall which has good pressure hot water (shower only). My room came with a bathrobe which made it less weird walking round at night. The room was large but the storage wasn’t great, it had a small little cupboard which I think was an old gramophone cabinet. TV and wifi were great and there was even tea and coffee in room (including a plunger!) which was awesome. Breakfast was nice continental and the server made eggs and toast and was really friendly. I think I would stay here again because it was quiet and had good atmosphere but maybe I’d ask for a different bed next time.
