Surprised to read some negative reviews of Camelot - we found it ideal, great location, only a few minutes walk into the CDB, and Hagley Park almost a stone's throw away, very quiet even though full when we visited, a motel with character, turrets, spires, leaded light windows, and pleasant friendly helpful staff. The 3 bed unit had double hot plate, microwave, fridge, sink, and all necessary utensils. Couldn't ask for more - and at a good price - an important consideration! Thank you. we'll come again!

Excellent friendly, helpful staff. They were all so very kind. The bed was a bit hard for us, so the Camelot provided an underlay and we slept well. The spa pool is delicious, loved it. I left my laptop charger behind in the unit and the Camelot kindly mailed it to us for free, the very next day, it arrived. We were provided with extras in the kitchen. This lodge must have survived several earthquakes & is still standing - bravo.

Stayed for a night in February 2024. The person on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was of a good size with a comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities available along with kitchen utensils for the microwave etc. The shower tray was a shiny metal finish and very slippery - approach with care. Very handy location for the centre and also for airport access and the bus route. I would stay again.

This motel is rated 4 stars it is not. The heater sometimes works and the taps in the bathroom don't work. They stated that there would be electric blankets and fresh ground coffee. Nothing. The daily cleaning consists of emptying is rubbish bin ...but the cleaning staff left their cleaning basket in our room. It was a very cold dark room that felt very uninviting.

we stayed at this motel for 3 nights the bathroom is very poor nowhere near the sink to put much the shower is over a bath that has seen better days no extractor so gets very steamy. the first 2 nights was fine very comfortable beds but on Monday and Tuesday morning we were woken at 7am by builders working on a building site about 2 meters from our window hammering and drilling it would have been common curtesy to have been told about the building site when we checked in . plus the wi-fi is very weak and keeps cutting out

Dear TS Thank you for taking the time to respond and for your constructive feedback. I have not long owned this property and had commenced a full upgrade when along came covid-19 which put an immediate halt to this. As soon as business levels return to normal, I will recommence this upgrade which will see all the remaining units completed progressively. I must also apologise for the noise from the builders next door. While this is beyond our control, I have raised this with the builder and he also apologised and advised that this is close to completion. Dirty shabby and grubby just about sums it up. Clumps of hair on the bathroom floor and what looked like blood. Broken shower slide. Shampoo sachets left in shower from previous occupants. Peeling paint. I could go on but that’s an honest appraisal. Probably the worst motel I’ve stayed in for a long time. Be warned.

The room we stayed was in upstairs behind the motel area and the room was quite big and comfortable although the motel is located just in front of the main street. Very nice and friendly staff who look after travelers and rooms very well. There was enough parking spaces there although you might not be able to park your car just in front of your room. It is good enough.

We were a larger group of 15 who were easily catered for in this motel complex. We didn't need to worry about parking. Rooms were large and well set out. We had all our meals at places within easy walking distance.

Unique motel with The attic bedroom. We took 2 bed room (family room) but I think The motel can fit up to 8 people. Comfortable bed, hot water and complete kitchen utensils, Suitable for The family like us. On the busy road with eating places around, but no noisy.

Rooms were spacious, clean and tidy but lacked attention to detail such as removing and replacing the used milk carton from fridge, reloading toilet paper and tissue dispenser. One standalone fan and a small window is not sufficient for cooling upstairs rooms in summer, air con would be very welcome. Good position for convenience but not if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep. And finally, lost another star for other guests large dog swimming in the pool. Yuck.

thanks for your question. We can definitely book a shuttle for you to go to the airport at any time in the early morning.
Price is $20 for the first person and an extra $5 for every extra person.
You can also consider a taxi (15 min. driving) that we can as well book from the Motel.
