Very old and tired rundown motel. They have tried to do the place up BUT there's so much that is bad. The heaypump next door humms in your room all night, the heatpumps don't warm the rooms well, had to use oil heater in bathroom as no heater and it was freezing. No room service. Cheap toilet paper and tissues. Had to keep asking for supplies unfortunately. Lightingis crap. Tvs glitch and the 2nd only has 5 silly channels. Car park is ok if you own a wee mini. No facecloths. No dish cloths. No dish detergent. BLOODY NOISEY.

At $170 per night for four people we can't complain too much. It was very clean & comfortable & the guy on reception was very friendly. The shower mixer was from the 70s, they only provided two makeup remover pads - no other bathroom items. The towels were old & almost grey. No extra blankets provided but the bed was warm. Clock in kitchen had a flat battery, TV in bedroom didn't work. We were down the end so didn't hear much road noise at all. Perfectly adequate for us though.

For the money this is a very handy, tidy and well set out room. Includes a separate kitchenette, Sky Tv, comfortable bed and good shower. Our unit was set back away from Bealey Ave, so very little noise at night. Would recommend to anyone looking to spend $100-$120 per couple.

Possibly my average is a little high but location saves it. Our room big with a balcony, little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and cook top. Good bathroom with sep shower. Guest laundry. Off street parking. The room was really tired as was the kitchen and bathroom. The chipped paint work had been concealed with stick on butterflies, linen was in need of replacement as was the bed, just all really needs a little TLC. Prob would try another motel next time.

The images available for the rooms do not really match the reality. The rooms look more comfortable, modern and fresh than they really are. I am not certain that the room i was given matched my booked or if the configuration in room did not match the website. The room was a complete mismatch of furniture and kitchen amenities. The shower was in a very poor state and did not seem clean. The towels were old and discoloured. The sheets on the bed i used had stains. There were very limited toiletries provided and they were poor quality. I would never stay here again and would rather pay for appropriate accommodation myself than have it be business funded if this place was my only choice. I believe this is a massively overpriced accommodation for what you get.

We booked here for a family group for reasonably central location, good price and ability to sleep 4 adults. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen facilities ok but tea wasn't restocked without us asking. Bathroom very basic and minimal toiletries supplied. Towels were poor quality and old. Decor awful plastic plants. The lounge furniture had ill fitting covers. Off street parking was tight over the weekend if you got back late. The place is a bit tired but fine if youre on a budget and just want place to stay on a budget.

Really enjoyed our stay here at the Belmont motor Inn. Booked a king spa room, room was nice and big and very comfortable. Bath and spa jets were nice and clean which 8s a good bonus, alot of hotels have dirty jets. Nice and close to the city and between two well known streets so you never got lost finding your way back.. Bealey Ave can be quite busy and noisy on the weekends at night but we hardly heard a thing!! Staff were very accomodating and friendly. Only downside was the parking, didn't quite seem to be enough and when a ute and trailer arrived they took up 3 parks for their one room which made space even tighter and took parks away from other stayers. We will definitely be back.

This is a pretty decent choice for Christchurch although we didn't get amazing sleep, which is why I can only give it 3 stars. The good - Good location, about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the city centre - Clean and modern rooms - Parking for your unit right outside your room, and allocated to your room - Friendly staff at reception - Nice air filled bathroom - Great shower pressure The bad: - Sound insulation not that great and we did get a bit of noise coming through - Bed too soft and creaking, which didn't make for the best sleep There is also not a huge amount if storage. While that wasn't an issue for us, if you are staying longer this could be tricky. We also had a small issue with out tv and the sky channels initially not working but after talking to the owner, he immediately came to fix it. Turns out the sky tv receiver just needed resetting. Easy. So all in all, not a bad stay. A decent choice for Christchurch, but we just did get great sleep here and will look at other options when next in town.
