Good location. Queen room was very small, no space for suitcases. Bed was soft but bad partner movement, hard pillows. All requests were sorted but the staff didn’t smile. Bar wasn’t always serviced. Breaky was nice but coffee pre brewed. I raised a concern with my room that was initially denied by the reception staff. They escalated my concern and it was rectified by a Manager who confirmed my concern about the room was correct. The staff member should have done this before telling me I was wrong.

we had a king superior room and lovely and clean, we were on the 13th floor and the view was stunning , crisp clear day and the mountains looked beautiful. the city lights at night were awesome. We ate at the restaurant. had the included continental breakfast which was lovely. My husband has steak EVERYTIME we go out for dinner and he said the Sirloin Steak he had at the Fables Restaurant was the best he had ever had . Service was very professional and friendly, The staff could not do enough for you. I would 100% recommend this Hotel and Restaurant. Just across the road from the Isaac Theatre, 1 minute walk to the square and everything is just at your doorstep. Brilliant

Disappointing - the website looks much better than the real deal. Our room was half made up….strange as I would expect a Hotel of this price to at least make the room up daily. Not what I expected - won’t be back!

The hotel is centrally location with all the amenities. There are few nice restaurants and big playground nearby. The hotel is helpful in arranging airport transfers and day trip with private driver at very super reasonable priced for our big family. The hotel is clean with great view. The only small issue is the head shower is fixed and not adjustable or remove. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Very small room. A handful of scuff marks on walls, tatty carpet and an air conditioner that must be old enough to vote but overall a pleasant stay. The staff were particularly helpful, friendly and efficient. When I advised that I had been approached by someone begging for money at the side door, the staff member ran outside to find the guy and move him on. Continental breakfast above average. The location is excellent. I’d definitely stay there again.

The Fable hotel was a great central city hotel for a night. Check-in was nice and easy, with friendly staff. Parking was available for $20 per night in two carparks that were right beside the hotel. We walked into the city for a meal which was nice and we felt very safe. Bed was comfy and room well appointed. Only annoying thing was the peep hole on the door didn’t have a cover so the light came through onto the bed from the hall way during the night. Would stay again.

We stay here when going to shows at the Isaac Theater as its right across the road. Very professional staff, clean rooms, great view. Restaurant on site, paid parking next door. Only one robe which was a bit odd.

We stayed here as part of an Air New Zealand Luxury Mystery Break. Great location within walking distance of city centre attractions. Fabulous food, friendly attentive staff, clean comfortable room with beautiful bathroom products, Nespresso coffee, comfortable king sized bed, large jacuzzi bath…. Valet service was especially appreciated. Thank you!

This wonderful friendly and welcoming hotel saved the weekend for us after we walked out of a nearby hotel because of the appalling service there. We can't thank the duty manager Maya enough for making us feel so welcome and special and also giving us a free upgrade and a lovely bottle of wine to help celebrate my special birthday weekend. I would also like to give a special shout out to one of the bar staff, Connor for delivering the wine to our room and for helping us sort out the TV channels. He was such a lovely, friendly and helpful young man who is such a credit to the staff at Fable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Maya and your awesome team at Fable, Christchurch!

This is a clean, quiet and friendly hotel. The front desk staff are really lovely, and even changed some money for me so I could have exact change for the bus. Our 10th floor room was lovely and had a great view of hills and city. The bed was comfortable and the coffee machine was a nice extra touch. The location is AWESOME, especially since we were tourists in the city. Close to the tram, across from the bus stop (one of these buses takes you straight to the gondola!) and close to eateries and shops. We chose to have a la carte breakfast each morning - it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Continental option is also available. We will definitely be back!
