Christchurch B&B Designer Cottage was a sailors' retreat in the 70s and is located in peaceful surroundings just off Colombo Street near the shops and opposite Sydenham Park. The walk to the city centre from the cottage will give you the chance to admire many listed heritage buildings on Colombo Street. We offer a variety of rooms, which are all tastefully decorated, including share facilities, private room with en-suite and a self-contained cottage.

My husband and I enjoyed a very lovely stay at Designer Cottage. Chet and Steve were so very warm and welcoming upon our arrival and full of excellent information that helped us enjoy our brief stay in lovely Christchurch. We took their good advice and enjoyed the tram tour of the city. We also took their advice about where to dine and had the most wonderful meal at Fermentist. Thank you for taking the time to guide us as well as for the lovely (spotlessly clean) room. Fellow travelers can be assured of an outstanding stay at Designer Cottage.

We had a short and lovely stay in late June. Weather is a bit cold, but the winter landscape is equally charming. We love old house, so this is prefect for our stay. The cottage reminded about my grandparents house. homely and sweet. Will come again.
