Located at the busy intersection of Lincoln and Barrington, the motel is close to a really nice coffee shop, gas station, and Addington Park. It's within a longer walking distance (~30-45 minutes) of Hagley Park, Riverside Market, Christchurch Botanic Gardens, Cathedral Square, etc. My room was next to an entry door and staircase for the building, which was a bit noisy every time someone entered or exited the building.
Staff was friendly and check-in was easy; Parking is limited, but was available without issue during my stay.
I stayed in one of the last rooms available, which had far more space than needed. The room had a twin and queen bed, chair, desk with two chairs, and a kitchenette with coffee, tea, and milk. There was someone’s leftover milk in the refrigerator (partially used). Not sure if they left it on purpose or by accident, but didn’t use it. The room was clean, beds were comfy, and shower had good water temperature and pressure.

We made this motel our base for excursions in and around Christchurch. Our initial feeling was that the room was a little smaller than we expected for a Superior studio. But it was very clean, comfortable and quiet - despite its location at a busy crossroads. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was excellent as was the shower and room furniture in general. The TranzAlpine railway terminus is a 15 minute flat walk away and the number 7 bus stop is a 5 minute walk away. The 7 runs every 12 minutes or so and gets to the centre of Christchurch within 15 minutes. We would stay at this motel again.

We stayed one night in this family studio unit. As soon as we entered the unit we detected a strange odor which we eventually discovered was coming from a floor drain in the bathroom. We found many dirty marks on the walls and the lounge net curtain was ripped in many places. The dust on top of the master bed headboard was quite thick. This room cost me $170 per night and was definatley not worth that amount. I reported my dissatisfaction to the reception staff when I checked out which she kind of just brushed off. The attached photo is of the state of the net curtain on the lounge window.

When we arrived she tried to charge us $60 for two breakfasts. I said I didnt want them, She said leave it with her and she would fix it. As soon as we left the motel two days later she debited my credit card with $60 for breakfasts we didnt have. I have asked for the money back but she has some excuse that she has to wait until December to see if she can gjve it back. I would never go here again and I was a return customer. Never again. Totally ripped off.

This motel was chosen for vicinity to train station. Although on intersection of two main roads our room was very quiet and private. Very clean, modern and comfy. Receptionist was very friendly. Polite and gave great advice. Free shuttle offered to train too - would stay again.

I think the receptionist / manager is a recent graduate of the Basil Faulty school for hospitality. Rude, aggressive and completely unsuitable for the job. Must be closely related to the owners to keep her job. Be aware that the default cereal for the continental breakfast is Coco Pops. Also unsuitable in most cases, but we would not have been brave enough to approach the nasty little dragon for an alternative even if she had not stormed off. And leaving a security door open for anyone to enter defeats the purpose. It's a security door. Shame really, as the motel is spotlessly clean and ticks all the boxes. Never been abused at reception before anywhere ever. Won't be back.

This motel was much nicer than many higher end hotels. Very clean, nicely furnished, good kitchenette equipment. Very clean. Great customer service. It was very easy and safe to walk from the motel to the train station at 6 am, it is about a 15 minute walk all on sidewalks.

My friends and i stayed in the family room. Tiny bathroom with weird shower, could barely get in. A bit disappointed to find that the family room only had a microwave and jug, thought there would be something for cooking. The rest of the family room was lovely and a big soft bed so had great sleeps. Definitely good value for money at 320ish for 3 people for 2 nights. A lovely touch that cleaners came during the day to deliver fresh towels too!

Clean, modern and very comfortable room. For us a great location close to the Railway Station. A walk into the CBD took about 40 minutes but we love walking and we did that every night to access the city centre vibe.
Sleep quality was excellent. No noise even though the hotel is on a busy junction, we slept like babies for two nights.
We can definitely recommend this hotel.
