Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We happened upon Tudor Court after spending a. Ugh this in a nearby motel . We stayed 2 nights and found the accommodation perfect for our needs. Near lots of restaurants and Hagley Park that had festivals going on. A short walk into the city center and less than a block from bus stops. John took good care of us. He is a very pleasant manager and we highly recommend staying here. Their rates were reasonable, lower than others, the room very large with a kitchen and queen bed and clean in every respect.

Lovely location with easy access to numerous restaurants & bars . The accommodation was very well equipped & the bed was so comfortable. We originally booked for 2 nights but stayed an extra as it was so good.
Would definitely recommend it to others.

Cozy, clean, and comfortable. Stayed in a kitchenette unit that covered the basics for cooking needs. Parking was a bit tight, but the room itself was fine. It is on a major road, but we were at the end furthest from the street and didn't notice any noise at all. Good location.

Stayed here before flying out after holidays. This isn't a luxury motel, but it is clean and fairly cheap for Christchurch. It's walking distance to some fantastic restaurants, bars and the bottle shop. Ask for a room at the back as its on a busy road, although the noise didn't bother me. Some people complained about noisy rooms, I didn't notice it was too bad. We were upstairs at the back.

A very late review! My partner and I stayed here on very late notice (booked mid day) to stay the night whilst we had to urgently get out of our house due to EQC. The owner was very understanding and accommodating even staying up till 10pm for us to check in. When we arrived he had the heating on in the room for us and the room was spotless. Even with all the stress of moving we had a wonderful nights sleep. Such a lovely place to stay.

Spent weekend in CHCH for a family 21st and this motel was perfect for our needs with having to access the airport for multi pick ups(7mins each way)the citywas on the door step and restaurants within walking distance.Beds were very comfortable and had all you needed to self cater if required. If you want 5 star then this is not the motel for you But if you want value for money ,heaps of hot water, very friendily helpful staff ,rooms of different sizes and configurations then this is the motel. Was very nice that the upstairs rooms have balconies to allow a wine at sunset. Will definitely stay again.

I felt very at home throughout my stay. Delightful and attentive owners. Great bed, plenty of hot water, enjoyed sitting on the deck. Great location, close to everything. Didn't hear or notice the traffic at all.
Would definitely stay again. Thanks Team!

We were very happy with our staff here. The room was clean and just big enough for a family of 4 (small kids). The manager was very friendly/helpful and went beyond the call of duty helping us cart our gear up the stairs to our room. The beds were comfy, but we did find the heater a bit noisy over night. The price was probably the best we could get for the room arrangement we were after (queen in lounge, and separate bedroom with single beds for the kids) in Christchurch.

I hope the lovely new owners of this motel can improve it. We paid what we thought was a mid price ($120 a night for 5 nights) for a dreadful room. It was old, damaged and very dated. It had no wardrobe, no plug in the basin, no bedside lamps, only one bedside table. There was no privacy curtain in front of the window on to the street so it was either the full blackout drapes across or nothing, the heating was so loud we couldn't have it on at night. Most of these could be so easily fixed but together they made for a most unpleasant stay.
