I had a four night stay, room was clean and tidy, very comfortable bed and someone with back problems, I appreciated this, the towels we’re a decent size and for someone on the larger size this was great. When I came back each night, they had made the bed and emptied all the rubbish, heating was excellent. Added bonus being right across the road from The Warehouse made it handy if you needed something.

4 night Holiday and it was a good choice to end the day for a nice comfy bed at a very decent cost. I was out all day as there were places to go, things to see and friends to catchup with. Only there for a sleep and not to waste money on a more expensive place. I think the only negative is the water pressure of the shower, had to be real quick before the hot was gone.

I have been to a lot of Motels and this would have to be one of the best as far as hosts are concerned. Russell is wonderful and goes out of his way (over and above) to help you with whatever he can. Very impressed. Definitely be staying here again if we head back to Christchurch and can get a room. Great location. Reasonable price. Clean room. An absolute gem!!

Wow. Thought everything looked okay, until i had a proper look, apon arrival staff were not easily accessible and no where to be seen. Looking further into the room first off and the most important to note the curtains along with the windows were moldy!!!!! And had yellow stains on them! In the kitchen nothing matched not the cutlery cups etc along with sugar salt + pepper being in werid different containers. The shower still had bits of hair in it from the previous person, the roof was dirty and the door had a big dirty brown discoloured patch on it. While showering i also noticed that all three vents/ fans in the bathroom were full of dust, and the place i can see definitely needs a deep clean and vacuum!! Sadly that was not all. I know that its a little cheaper than other places but i still expect a high level of cleanliness especially as I’m paying to feel comfortable and stay here.
The only really good things i have to say is the room, kitchen and bathroom are a good size, the owner i assume was nice when i saw them, there is free wifi and parking and the room was quite warm overnight.
Personally wouldn’t stay again if i could help it

Have stayed three times now at this motel and was disappointed to see how 'neglected' the cleaning is and how 'not just tired, but exhausted' the furniture, kitchen and bathroom have become along with the badly overgrown back garden. The sheets and towels were clean and the bed relatively comfy. Even though the price is easy on the wallet, I'd rather pay more for better maintained accommodation.

The motel could have been lovely but was very basic and grubby. I guess the unkempt gardens and weeds should have told us what to expect inside. The unit was just the right size for a family. The dishes were insufficient and mismatched. The bathroom needed a deep clean. The shower head fell off and I had to shower under a straight stream of water. The owners were not very accessible. Surprisingly the bed we had was comfortable. The single bed was too narrow for a full sized adult, he had an uncomfortable couple of nights. We were out most of the day so the gloomy decor didn't worry us. Would I stay again, not if I could help it. Even if a motel is inexpensive cleanliness is vital.

Very accommodating hosts who make guests very welcome. Russell put the heater on for us which was great on a cool CHCH evening. He also recommended a restaurant that we could get a 10% discount.Very comfortable bed & the unit was very clean & tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending this motel.

My husband & I stay here several times a year on business, & Russell & Wendy are absolutely the most pleasant and accommodating hosts. All we have to do is ring up & if there's a room available, it's ours. In the cooler weather, they will warm up the unit prior to our arrival, and when we are coming in from the late ferry, will leave the key for us. They have gone beyond the call of duty accepted incoming parcels and shipped forgotten items to us. Everything is always clean, the bed is always comfortable, we absolutely love that they have news channels on the SkyTV lineup, towels are great, full kitchen is so convenient, although I have to say I never cook but it is nice to have the oven to heat items and space for our espresso maker. Yes, we do travel with it :-) (If you stayed in 20+ motels/year, you might also.) Bathroom is a tad dated & could use a bit stronger water pressure, but everything that matters is top notch - fluffy towels, crisp sheets and even cookies and lollies waiting every day, not to mention Easter eggs & chocolates this year! There is a bit of ambient noise from somewhere nearby but only I hear it, not my husband. We've always stayed in units that are one away from the street, although a bit of street noise doesn't bother me. If you want a warm welcome and the feeling that your continued patronage is appreciated, the Classique Lodge Motel is for you. All other motels in Christchurch have disappeared so far as we are concerned.

My family stayed for 2 nights for the weekend of the Kenny Rogers concert. The 2 bedroom motel unit was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the location was great for us. Very close to some good eateries, the Riccarton shops and not too far from the airport.
Russell was a great host and even gave us a ride to the event in his own vehicle, he went over and above what was expected. I can highly recommend staying at this motel.

Even though I am a mainlander, I tend to get lost in Christchurch, but there was no such problem with this motel. It is on the main road into town from the south, and close to Riccarton for food or shopping. I actually picked the motel purely on the basis it was the cheapest I could find, and on that basis I was totally satisfied. I was in #4 which is not far from the road, but the traffic noise was not intrusive. The room was larger than expected, the bed was comfy, there was a seperate and well stocked kitchen, the internet worked fine, the TV had the full complement of Sky TV channels (rather than the cut down package I often find in motels).

In short, I was very happy here.
