We booked two Queen Twin Suites for three nights, the rooms were excellent and well-equipped with a microwave, plates and cutlery. The location was great too, close enough to the city centre for convenience, but far enough to escape all the traffic. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to a friend.

We stayed at this Motel for a weekend and was given a free upgrade to the King Studio with Kitchen room upon booking with Booking.com. Everything in the room was clean and beds were comfortable. Whilst only staying here for 2 nights our room was cleaned whilst we were out which was really nice to come back to also. We used Lime scooters to get into town and back so the location was really convenient and close enough. Check in was quick and the lady on duty was friendly and polite. Car parking was onsite too and happened to be visible from our room window. I have nothing bad to say about the place, and I would most definitely book again if I needed to visit Chch again. Many thanks

We had the most amazing stay at 136 on bealey, while attending the NZ Touch Nationals for 2022. Steve and Amy were amazing to work with from the start of our booking right up till the end.

They went over and beyond to cater to our group. Once they found out our group was made up of women and children they made sure that we were all safe and booked their entire motel for our group only and gave us the last 2 rooms on-site as a free upgrade... which was absolutely amazing.

The motel itself was tidy and well kept. And because not every room had cooking facilities, Amy and Steve let us use the downstairs foyer area as a make shift dining area so our team could still eat as a group.

The beds were nice and comfy and everyone seemed to enjoy their sleeps throughout or 5 day stay....and the water pressure in all the room showers were fantastic. Such a warm and welcoming facility that I would recommend to anyone group small or large.

Thanks Amy & Steve.

The stay at 136 Bealey was seamless from the beginning. We arrived in the morning and the room was already made up, which was great because we had plenty of time to unwind, have lunch and get ready for the Crusader's match. The king studio was immaculate, the bathroom was divine. I would have indulged in the spa bath if I'd had more time but thoroughly enjoyed the powerful shower. The next morning, I had time to myself while my partner went off to test-ride a motorbike and had no problems checking out late. I waited in the garden area (beautiful day and nice spot to wait) for John to get back from his joyride. Later in the afternoon, the hotel even called me up about a book I'd left behind (for other guests) in case I needed it back. Such incredible hospitality and everything was lovely.

We stayed as part of our tour of the South Island. When we arrived the man at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size and the beds were comfy. We had a twin room with a kitchenette. We went to use the microwave on the first night and unfortunately that hadn’t been cleaned. We also couldn’t find the sky channels that were advertised. It was handy having a cafe next door with great coffee, unfortunately one of the other guests was sat right in the doorway smoking, our room was next to this door so our room was filled with smell of smoke and we had to walk through that door way to leave. Even though it’s on a busy main road we had a great sleep and it was easy access to the city.

This place is fantastic value for money and the open light filled lobby on the first floor give it a unique point of difference. The staff were excellent during check in. Would highly recommend to anyone. Lots of parking at the rear.

We have stayed there before and it was good but not now. Rubbish was never removed from room so we did it only to find the skips were over flowing and stunk. Ants were everywhere in the bathroom.
In the car park there was dog droppings that were never picked up in the three days we stayed there.

The room was large and scrupulously clean, with a large, well appointed bathroom. The kitchen was also quite big with a smallish benchtop, an induction hob, microwave, kettle and toaster - what more do you need? There was plenty of tea and coffee, a good TV and very fresh bedding. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The only downside is not of their making - unfortunately being on Bealey Ave means the boy racers and the ever present pedestrian crossing beep.

Reviewed this back in 2013, still remains one of the few tidy, affordable and clean accommodations close to the city and Southern Cross Hospital. I found with the doors and windows closed noice to be minimal and was in room three facing Bealey Avenue, appeared to double glazed. Was warm, clean linen, great shower pressure and everything I needed.

We stayed here over a weekend in November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This motel is close to central ChCh and the unit we had lacked for nothing. It was clean, very nicely decorated, quiet (even on Bealey Avenue) and the off street parking was a bonus. Our host Amy was very friendly and attentive to detail and we will definitely stay here again.

Hi Leong We pre-paid our shuttle transfer over the internet. We chose Supershuttle Tourism Transport Limited and it cost us $32.24 (shared ride)for 2 people to go from Christchurch Airport to 136 on Bealey Motel. We arrived at 10.05 pm. And far as I know you can order a shuttle from Bealey Motel to get back to the airport. Hope this helps you and have a great holiday. Regards Janene
