We stayed here 3 nights and had a great stay. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. The rooms were serviced beautifully each day with new toiletries and tea and coffee etc. The motel is in a very handy spot and is easy walking distance to the central city. Would stay here again.

The room was spacious and clean with a spa bath and shower with great water pressure.
It is walking distance to some great food and beverage places and also close to the city.
Price was great and there are free laundry facilities including a dry and clothes line

Stayed here on a busy weekend in Christchurch. Managers went out of their way to accommodate us. Very affordable for the 5 of us, even got a call the day before we came up to sort sleeping arrangements for our 3 teenagers Nice quiet unit at the back of complex. Great parking. Security cameras everywhere so felt vehicle would be safe. 4 minutes from square and central city. Room was clean and warm, double glazed, shower is fantastic. Will stay again. Thanks heaps Great Disabled parking

A girls weekend in Christchurch. Weather wasn’t great neither was the accommodation- all a bit lack lustre.
Bellanio maybe ‘trendy, modern, boutique’ from the outside, but under the hood it’s tired and dated.
We had a groundfloor room in the corner at the back. The little courtyard patio was the best thing about the room.
The bed was old, soft and saggy. The throw was scratchy vinyl. The dated scruffy faux leather couch was uncomfortable like the bed.
Another redeeming feature- the shower was hot and powerful. Alas all single use products in the bathroom.
Kitchenette is well equipped- with mismatching random utensils, not needed with a microwave. There’s no in room recycling, but there are DIY bins in the yard.

The situation isn’t helped that a lot of hotels, apartments and Airbnb in Otautahi Christchurch have been rebuilt or remodelled or are new build. These new, fresh modern places just make Bealey Ave motels look more tired.

Be aware that L O U D construction is currently taking place on the motel, from about 7am right on top of the roof. Wasn't mentioned at all in booking or check in. A guy could see through the bathroom window one morning unexpectedly, and loud banging continued through the day. Couldn't take any remote meetings and had to go to a cafe. Bath was also dirty, shower curtains weren't clean and had hair on them.

Property is approx 10km from airport and a couple of km from City Centre. It therefore offers easy access to both. Rooms are clean and come equipped with enough amenities to make it an ideal stop on your first or last day in Christchurch. Reasonable rates make this a good value option.

Just a short walk to the city centre. The motel is on a busy road but we had a unit at the back, very quiet. Apartment was perfect for a short stay, very clean, spacious. Helpful staff. Great value compared to a hotel room.

Fabulous motel in terms of quality, proximity to conference centre and city, cleanliness and facilities. Well worth the short walk and away from the bigger hotels. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

We started here for 2 nights having been staying in budget accommodation and wanted to stay somewhere 'nice'. Don't be fooled by the swish modern outlook this is just a facade of what it's trying to be.

The place was just dirty. The bath was full of hairs and the towels were hung up like they had just been used. There was a poo stain in the toilet. The selection of toiletries were 'natural' manuka honey ones with plenty of sodium laurel sulphate and lots of other chemicals that shouldn't be in there. The bathroom sink was also blocked as noted by another reviewer with the owner blaming earthquakes. (Note:The kitchen sink and the bath drained freely)

The kitchenette was clean and tidy. And the tea / coffee selection was ok if you like UHT milk. It was a bit of an insult to me that you are supplied with cooking utensils with no means of cooking with them (except in a microwave, which isn't cooking)

The bedroom was alright but the advertised 'king bed' was a queen.
The TV was an old flat screen about 10 years old and was too small for the room. It could also not be angled towards the bed.

The place is on a main road and near the hospital so lots of traffic noise and ambulance sirens all night despite the double glazing.

There is also a building site at the rear so expect to be woken at 7am.

When we complained about the dirty bathroom all we got were excuses and lies saying 'room cleaned every day' -which might be the case but the cleaners have some sort of phobia around bathrooms and long thick black hairs.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, the room looked lovely with everything you need. The TV was a bit small. The reason for the three stars is the noise, the motel is on one the busiest roads in Christchurch this we knew when booking but we were in a lower unit and we could here everything going on upstairs literally even down to hearing whoever going to the toilet. So we decided to move on.
