Two cottages in a rural setting within 5 minutes drive of Blenheim. Friendly and relaxing. Each cottage is self contained with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a barbecue so you can make the most of Marlborough's long sunshine hours. We are within 10km of approximately 35 cellar doors, 25 minutes drive from Picton or Havelock. We're happy to provide information on local attractions - there's a lot more to Marlborough than Sauvignon Blanc. Well behaved pets welcome with prior notice.

The best family friendly accomodation we have ever stayed at! Can’t wait to come and stay again, much more child friendly than a traditional motel. We have a 2 year old and 3.5 month old and it catered well to both. Plenty of outside room for our toddler to kick a ball and ride his bike. Warm, spacious, close to town but also private and quiet. We even payed for an extra night and decided to stay for an extra day because we were enjoying our time so much! We stayed 5 nights total. Host is absolutely lovely, accommodating, goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and a wealth of knowledge about the area. It is truly a home away from home. The self serve laundry was a huge benefit to us with young kids, and the nightly pricing is absolutely fantastic and makes it so do-able for a family of 4 to go on holiday. The only downside to staying here was that it was hard to leave and go back home!! We have loved our stay, thank you so much. Truly appreciate your wonderful service. Would always recommend to anyone coming to stay in Blenheim 😊

We were very happy with our stay at Na Clachan Cottages. We (myself, my husband, and our 22-year-old daughter) were in the near cottage, and it worked out very well for us. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and have our own space, and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage was very clean and we appreciated the electric blankets and the space heaters since the nights were a little chilly. The kitchen provided all the equipment we needed to make our own meals, and Wendy was so kind to provide us with some milk and tea to start out with. Speaking of Wendy, she was a wonderful resource on things to do in the area and just a truly kind person who made us feel very comfortable during our stay. We also loved the alpacas - getting to feed them was one of the highlights of our stay!

We (3adults) were looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights in Blenheim. Picked up a brochure in the tourist information center and as the rates seemed quite reasonable, decided to enquire further. Lady at the tourist center said the cottages were out of town, so we decided to drive out there just to see how far out of town it was. Turned out the drive was less than five minutes so we decided to stay there. Contacted “Wendy” - the hostess who told us to make ourselves at home until she returned. The cottage we occupied had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge room/dining room and a kitchen. Very comfortable and all that a traveller would want. Wendy also made the laundry available and we were able to do a load of washing and hang it out on the clothes line and get it dry. Wendy was also a fountain of information about the local area, suggesting a number of places to visit- vineyards, restaurants and museums. All in all, a most enjoyable stay in Blenheim.

A big Thank you to Wendy, Helen, and Chris for a great weekend. We visited the Marlborough wine country from the USA and needed a place to stay that could accommodate 6 people. We found Na Clachan Cottages on line and booked it. Little did I know that these folks give new meaning to customer service. Not only was our cottage neat and clean but it was located in beautiful gardens with more rose varietals than I had ever seen. They helped us with our every need including picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. They also gave us fabulous restaurant suggestions. What sets them apart is the optional wine tour. Our guide Chris toured us throughout the region taking us to fabulous small wineries specializing in Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and others. Whether organic or biodynamic, or historical they all represented the finest in New Zealand wine. Chris is also very knowledgeable and respected at the cellar doors making it a truly wonderful experience. Na Clachan Wine Cottages is exactly what one should expect touring wine country anywhere n the world.

Great stay in lovely, rural setting surrounded by fabulous vineyards and overlooking the Wither Hills. Wendy and Helen were welcoming hosts and the wine tour, with lunch at Allan Scotts was fantastic. The accommodation was somewhat basic but spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening Sauvignon in the sunshine in between the vines, next to the alpacas. The area has a lot to offer and we regret only being able to spend 3 days there. We will return.

We began our exploration of New Zealand's South Island here after disembarking at Picton three hours late from a stormy Cook Strait crossing. Our hostess Wendy met us in the darkness with a torch to guide us to to our accommodation for the next two nights. Near Cottage is decently equipped for two couples with en-suite facilities, a fully equipped kitchen and a living area. The setting is charmingly rural, surrounded by wild flowers and fields with alpacas roaming free! Na Clachan (Gaelic for "meeting place") is in the midst of world-renowned Marlborough wine country and no stay is complete without a few tastings. The outstanding vineyard to visit is Hunter's where the Sauvignon Blanc will delight the most discerning taster!! Na Clachan offers real value for money and is highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in Na Clachan Cottages with everything you could possibly need. We stopped here for two nights and had a half day tour of the vineyards which we highly recommend. Wendy , Helen and Chris were excellent hosts and made this a great place to base ourselves in the Marlborough region.

Myself and my son stayed here for 2 nights as part of a wine tasting tour (Kip and Sip) and I can thoroughly recommend it. We were given detailed directions on how to get here and the cottages are spacious and have everything you need. Wendy is a great host and nothing was too much trouble. Helen took us on the wine tour and was informative and fun. Thanks ladies! I would recommend staying here ......

We loved our stay here- cottage was nice and clean, had everything we need and was in a great locations. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful, with suggestions of places to go, see and do. Extra bonus for us was being able to stay with our dog which was fabulous! Highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere a bit more laid back, comfy and unique than the standard run of the mill accomodation found in town.
