We all chose different meats. Lamb, pork, venison, beef steak. $32 to $35.00 per meal. Delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We all followed up with sticky date pudding for dessert. Lovely flavours. Only negative comment would be that the mains were not for a hungry man, hence the need for desert. No loud music. Could talk comfortably over a bottle of wine without pressure to hurry up.
Business trip for a couple of days, room basic but acceptable however the breakfast is another thing ..... Most expensive poached eggs on toast that I have ever had!!! By all means stay at the hotel, just avoid the way over priced breakfast.
I was a solo traveler without a car and selected the Quality Hotel in Blenheim for a three-day visit to the Marlborough Wine Country. My plans included pickup and drop-off by wine touring companies; otherwise it would not have been too convenient without a car. There is an attractive River adjacent to the property and a bridge crossing the River very near the Quality Hotel. It is also possible and pleasant to walk along the river and cross it on a lovely footbridge. My room was adequately sized and the bed very comfortable. The on-site restaurant had very few diners during my stay but I ate dinner there twice. The food was cooked precisely to my order and very good: the chef is worthy of compliments. The night (& restaurant) manager very pleasant and friendly. The few…
Have never stayed at the Quality Inn Blenheim before so not sure what to expect. Conveniently located not far (walking distance) from the main CBD of Blenheim, the Quality Inn is located far enough off the main road to Nelson to have no traffic noise. Following a friendly greeting, shown to our ground floor room. Impressed at the size of the room, would say this is above the average size for a standard double hotel room. Bathroom a bit on the small side, but still okay. Not the most modern of hotels, but comfy, quiet, roomy and good value. Plenty of off street parking. Has dining facilities which we didn't try, however looking at the menu - has a good selection. If you are looking for a quiet hotel close to the Blenheim CBD, this hotel is for you.
Lovely rooms and staff. Fantastic breakfasts. Highly recommend pancakes. Great to get paper every morning. Great to have a swipe key for late entry. Look forward to returning on future business trips.
Very comfortable hotel with friendly helpful staff. Blenheim is the heart of wine growing with an abundance of Vineyards to visit, most providing excellent eating places .Good place to stay if heading further south.
We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting local wineries. This hotel is basic but comfortable. Rooms are reasonably appointed with king and twin bed (so, would sleep three or a family of four if kids were young). Rooms had all basic amenities (small refrigerator, water kettle, tea and instant coffee, milk supplied) and a few glasses/cups/cutlery. There is an onsite small restaurant (The Poolside Bistro) which actually served decent food the evening we ate a light meal there. Didn't try the breakfast, as it seemed overpriced for a buffet. There is a small onsite bar, also. Lobby smelled of something odd (cats?) and had a "freshener" running, so I don't think we were imagining it. Very good location along a main artery (Rte 6) and within walking distance---across a…
If you stay here are Not you have to try their restaurant the food is amazing as is the service😆 An all round great place to stay😄 Close to all amenities too. Very private and quiet even though it's on a main road
Good service and fair prices. Room service doesn't incur extra charges and the rooms are clean and modern. After getting the muck around from air NZ it was refreshing to get some great service. Highly recommend. We also got a free upgrade which was lovely.
The staff are lovely, the rooms are very spacious and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my two nights here and on a space, cleanliness, friendliness, value for money level it can't be faulted. Breakfast was a bit slap-dash but ok, shame the pool was out of operation as the sun was shining and a dip would have been nice. A good place to stop and explore Marlborough.
