We loved Sebastian & Kathryn's accommodation. We checked in early, which was appreciated and everything was just perfect. I was very impressed with the gardens, especially the veges :) Everything had been thought of for a comfortable stay. Extremely clean and tidy.

What a magic overnight stay! Arrived late from the ferry - Instructions, directions, and advice regarding a meal en-route were much appreciated. Sebastian met us in the carpark and escorted us to the Riroriro Barrel, just as the sun was setting - what a spectacular introduction to the Marlborough Wine Barrel Cabins! Sitting perfectly in the landscape, the barrels are unctuous and thoughtfully decorated to make sure you are both comfortable and cozy. We had a great nights sleep thanks to the quiet rural location and the natural warmth of the cabins. Sleeping late, because nothing woke us!, we had breakfast on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and wee creek and wished we had booked 2 nights! These cabins are rarely available- and now we know why... Great stay, perfect distance from the ferry when heading south - thank you.

We had the most wonderful stay. We were very excited to be able to secure a booking and our stay did not disappoint. Sebastian and Kathryn were very welcoming and the cabin was just perfect. From the patio we enjoyed views of the neighbouring vineyard and were able to listen to the birds in the garden. It is also very conveniently located - within easy biking distance of the wineries in the region. We can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely loved my stay in the Riroriro wine barrel. I had only booked one night but booked a second so that I could soak up the peace and beauty in the cabin and surrounding garden and countryside. Sebastian and Kathryn were fantastic hosts and my cabin was serviced while I was out which was much appreciated. Would totally recommend and would love to visit again.

Our second visit to the Barrels and this was just as good, if not better, than our first visit and our next visit is already booked! Very idyllic setting with awesome views, you could be a million miles away from anywhere...it's the perfect place for relaxing and yet within easy distance of Blenheim and Renwick plus all the surrounding vineyards. The barrels themselves are top class. Really comfortable and warm with every comfort thought of. Just perfect!

This was my second visit to the barrels and it was just as good as the first. Beautiful tranquil setting with the sound of running water, incredible birdsong and an amazing sunset. I was due to go camping but terrible weather meant I had to shelve those plans and look for shelter - I adored my cozy evening at the Riroriro barrel soaking it all in!

A very comfortable stay surrounded by a beautiful garden with vineyards beyond. Host Sebastian was the perfect host, giving us the required details at the beginning, but allowing us the freedom to explore. The barrel was perfect for our 1 night stay in the region, visit friends.

Had a fantastic 1 night stay with Sebastian & Kathryn, amazing communication, great local suggestions and a warm welcome. Everything was spotless, lovely homely touches in the barrel and after a day of a self guided wine tour cosied up in the barrel with a board game. The bathroom is a short walk away and there is also a private outside shower and seating area, only wished it was the summer so we could utilise these! Definitely recommend a short break in the wine barrels!

Loved it, perfect for a quiet 50th birthday getaway surprise! Fantastic idea and can't be faulted in any way, so warm and welcoming. Nothing can beat a glass of Marlborough wine outside a Wine Barrel Cabin watching the sunset and listening to bird song. Highly recommend it to everyone.

What a paradise. The cabins are not just beautiful, they were also really cozy with electric blankets for the cold nights, board games in case you came unprepared, a TV, plates and your own "water keg". Even comes with a flashlight and umbrella. Its really something else. We loved every minute of our stay and will be back! Big shoutout to the lovely hosts Kathryn and Sebastian!
