Live like a hobbit in Marlborough’s only wine barrel cabins. Our cabins are comfy and cosy and tucked away in a quiet spot in Marlborough, New Zealand. Nestled between vineyards and olive groves you can wake up to birdsong in our peaceful garden setting. Pour a glass of wine and enjoy watching the quails and fantails on your deck or sit down by the stream and watch the sunset. Let your imagination run wild as you pretend you are in Hobbiton.

I spent a night here on the drive back to Wellington. Loved it. A quiet, peaceful setting amongst a picturesque cottage garden complete with an outdoor shower! Inside the barrel is a couch with cushions, table and chairs, a TV, kettle, toaster, plates and cutlery. A microwave is available on request. I spent most of the afternoon lying on the bed basking in the sun shining through the bedroom window and listening to the birds singing. Felt like I was a million miles from anywhere. Check it out if you're looking for some unique accommodation in Blenheim!

This was just superb. Relaxing, quiet, well appointed, unique, and spotlessly clean. A great place to rest after touring Marlborough. It is close enough to the vineyards but secluded at the same time. The views are great also. Highly recommended.

I can confidently say that all the positive, amazing reviews of "Marlborough Wine Barrels" are justified. A very warm welcome from host Sebastian who led us to the very gorgeous and inviting Riroriro Cabin. Shared bathroom facility is immaculate and beautifully appointed, the pathway well lit up at night. No kitchen, no problem! We purchased amazing produce from the Marlborough Farmers Market, some wine and were able to relax and enjoy the amazing environment we were in. We especially appreciated the sustainability and care toward the environment shown. This is not just a great place for couples but we would look to bring our teenagers back here who would seriously love the opportunity to stay in such a cool place. Our tip to ourselves next stay: Set aside more time just to hang out at the cabin to relax! It is very peaceful and feels a world away from our everyday rushed life. Our next stay will factor in more time to do just that. …

Nature Lovers Paradise to relax in a unique one of a kind experience. Quirky, homely and hobbit like touches makes this place magical. With all the modern amenities, a gorgeous indoor bathroom or use the outdoor shower with a view of the Hills. The property is surrounded by rolling hills, fruit and vegetable gardens. I ate the Fresh grapes and cherry tomato growing alongside my cabin. Sebastian the owner makes an excellent home made pizza from scratch. A unique one of a kind stay with modern comforts while taking in the natural beauty of this region . I highly recommend this place as there is nothing else like it. 2nd time here for us and hopefully will be a 3rd.

My friend and I each stayed in one of the two cabins. They were clean and the folder of information was helpful. The grounds are beautiful, and we were lucky to have an amazing sunset. We had use of a refrigerator. The bathroom is shared, but they even provide a flashlight and sensor lighting along the path for when you venture out in the dark. I had a relaxing, peaceful night of sleep - the best after jet lag. The host, Sebastian, was also very friendly. We both recommend staying here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marlborough Wine Barrel Cabins. It was such a great way to spend our time in Marlborough as we visited some of the wineries during the day, returning to the cabins in the evening to relax and enjoy a nice bottle of wine in a truly lovely setting with great views. Sebastian and Kathryn were lovely hosts paying attention to details that made our stay fabulous.

We booked both cabins for our family four and had such a great stay! Barrels are super cute and very comfortable! The gardens are very private and beautiful. Perfect for indulging in local wine and cheeses. The shared bathroom is freshly renovated, large, and very clean. Easy to get to from the cabins with sensor lights guiding you in the night. I would definitely stay again if visiting the Marlborough.
