Abysmal customer service despite being a repeat stay over consecutive weeks and paying for the most expensive unit there. Let some food in the fridge and when called next days got told it was thrown out, no curtesy call to collect first. Will not be returning!

Advised Peter the owner I would be arriving late and I had an oversize trailer . I never got instructed where to park it .. just that the room would be open and outside light on Due to there being no room to maneuver trailer easily onto car parking space ( and I was being as thoughtful and respectful of not driving on the grass) I finally parked on the Tarseal space provided so that I wasn't blocking access or the wheels being on lawn while stationary. The next morning after not sleeping due to the wobbliest most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on , I proceeded to the office to pay, was welcomed by a cantankerous old man that said he was bloody annoyed I ruined the grass! I apologized and explained I tried my best not to and he should go see all the other track marks on edge of grass beside driveway He was then facetious and dismissive of me . Even worse.... he charged me an additional $70 dollars after we had driven off ..... siphoned from my credit card! Photo shows the slight imprint I made. Avoid this place at all costs. . Unless you want a motel room beside some homeless drunks that occupy a room next door that the government pay for .

We booked via phone with owner He took our credit card number but No email of booking confirmation was received I had to call to check we were booked in to which he replied yes and told us keys will be in unit upon arrival. The next day when my husband went in to pay Owner went mental over a grass indent from our trailer (we have photos of this indent) we had advised him of the large trailer we were travelling with when we booked. He never told us where we should park it nor when I called to confirm booking. He said to my husband you should have parked it over there down the other end of the motel how were we to know this if he expected this then communicate it. After checking out and paying he then processed another payment of $70 behind our backs without asking or informing us of what it’s for that’s fraud taking peoples money that’s using there credit card details given in confidence and not asking and us not knowing what it’s for.

We stayed here 12 months ago and it has slipped a little since then. The unit had obviously had a recent update in the bathroom and kitchen. However the kitchen was very basically equipped and it was not value for money. The couple managing it are new to the industry and are trying very hard.

Old, rundown 70s style motel, sloping floor, exposed lightbulbs, single glazed windows with no security stays, miniature TV Bizzare covid protocols, just not welcoming or good value. People coming and going all night. Wouldnt stay again.

I have been staying at Cherylea Motel whenever I am in Blenheim for work for the past 10 years +. The accommodation is excellent in every way. I always receive a friendly greeting - and have a catch up chat with Robin. I stay in many many motels in the course of work and this is definitely the best. Highly recommended.

Terrible customer service. We stayed two nights but our room was not serviced after our first night. The owner did not seem to care when we told him this. So If your like fresh towels and a clean room you should find somewhere else to stay! Awful, would not recommend to anyone for the price you pay!

$140pn mid week, discounted from $160. to stay in what we think is a converted garage. Disrupted sleep the first night from the crowd in the unit above us. Walls an ceiling paper thin. Housekeeping promply fixed the blocked shower an ant invasion an said no one booked in unit upstairs for 2nd night. We could hear snoring from adjacent unit an again nosey ceiling from people walking upstairs 2nd night.. Cutlery an bowls dirty. Bath towels left on kitchen sink both days! Room comes with complimentary cockroach spray.

Have stayed here for several years with a group on an annual trip. - Staff great & very welcoming, very comfortable beds. Swimming pool & large outdoor area for relaxing. Close enough to walk to town but also supermarket, takeaways & pub etc nearby.
