Looks great from the outside, but the interior is very tired. Its clean and tidy, but you sink deep into an old stained sofa, the bed linen is not great, and the bathroom and kitchen are pretty horrible. With an interior update, this place could be a little gem. Given the previous 2 nights we stayed in motels with modern rooms, fantastic linen and modern bathrooms for this same price, this place was definitely over-priced
Great place to stay, we had 4 kids so having 3 bedroom and a large area was excellent, even had a separate door to the pool so easy for kids to get there. Lots space and really strong shower. Beds all good and master room had its own TV!
A lovely motel with friendly and flexible owners. Our 2 bedroom apartment (room 10) was clean with comfortable beds. A great spot for small or larger groups. Quiet and peaceful with supermarkets close by. Robin was so helpful and went out of his way to help, we had bikes and he put them in a separate locked area. They are in the process of doing up the motel so don't expect perfect, but I highly recommend it. Give Kay and Robin a call to get the best deal.
Comfortable, spotless, everything needed for a great stay - spacious rooms - handy to all ammenities - great place to stay - peaceful environment. Value for money - large Pac & Save within walking distance.
We stayed for six nights although initially booked for three. The quality of our room, its location to be used as a base for visiting local attractions and the Sounds further north, plus the many wide ranging facilities in Blenheim as well as the cleanliness of our room and the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff caused us to change our minds and double the length of our stay. Our room by motel standards and many hotel standards was big but not expensive, it was very good value for money. The thoroughness of the room daily service was exceptional.
Beautifully presented surroundings. Clean, tidy and spacious rooms. Family friendly with space for the kids to play and pool to swim in. Very Friendly staff. Within Walking distance to Speight’s Ale House
This Motel is in need of major update. The bathroom is 70s,no heater poor lighting No extractor fan,all Apricot. The room is great and the bed is very comfortable. The heater in the room only goes for 30 seconds and then shuts down.TV is tiny. The grounds are immaculate and the Staff very friendly.
We loved staying in room 17, what a gorgeous room, lovely decor, super comfortable bed - the best motel bed we have ever slept in, great water pressure in the shower, well setup kitchen, good heating to cope with the cold weather. The grounds are beautifully presented; walk down to the stream and sit down there with a glass of wine and enjoy watching the birds, you can even feed the eels in season; a great spa pool which we enjoyed last night; swimming pool when the weather is a little warmer. Robin & Kay are super friendly hosts, they are experts at telling you some of the amazing things that you can do in the Blenheim area; wine tasting and tours, Peter Jackson's Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, Mailboat cruise in the Pelorus Sounds, Swim and view dolphins in the Marlborough Sounds. There are so many things to do and you need to stay at least 5 days in this area to see all there is to offer. Admirals Motor Lodge will be a great base for you as you discover all it has to offer. Thanks for a great time Robin & Kay, we will be back real soon. Ross & Jan…
Usual owners were away. We thought there was a crack in the vanity but upon wipeing it realised it was a long black hair. Left it for cleaners to see. Also wet room shower ended up with water all over floor so had to use towel to clean up. The towel was black with dirt afterwards. This is seriously a health @ saftey issue i.e. tinea. Floors need disinfecting everyday. I do have photos.
