Very outdated motel for the price to stay per night. First impression was clean. But only had towels replaced each day, no cleaning in room. Bed not even made or changed. Was cold, but heaters old and noisy, so could not leave on over night.

Booked 3 rooms. clean rooms but very expensive. Be aware road workers have most of the rooms for a couple of months and party til the wee hours on the weekend. Kept us all awake. Pool not operating as advertised

Horrendous experience - considered going home on first day, or moving motel. Ended up just going out all day long to avoid being there. No character at all to the outdoor area, everything inside felt like it was from a second hand shop, including linen and beds, extremely uncomfy. Couch so old you could barely sit on it. Ants in the kitchen. Cleaning not done fully. No air con on stinking hot days. Don't be fooled by advertising on website - photos vs reality two very different things. No pool, doesn't look like its getting fixed this century! Staff extremely rude! In a nutshell - worst Motel I have ever stayed in and never would again - totally advise to stay away. Also this is my first review ever - but feel like I need to warn others.

Shocking cold reception as we were wanting to check in 2 hours early on CHRISTMAS DAY. There was literally one other car so they were not busy at all but the grumpy old man at reception told me off.Then!...one of my children vomited and got some on the sheets. We cleaned up a little off the floor and had it all tidy and sheets stripped off ready for cleaning. We even left a sorry note under the door...he said he did not see this...then went on to charge me $350 for cleaning!!!!!! Outrageous . I'm very sad and extremely gutted they charged me that much, and also said they had to block the room off for 2 days, which is total rubbish. Doesn't take2 days to clean sheets. Horrible person, and made us all very sad as its money also that I definitely don't have.

Stayed here for one night only. Very brusque service on checking in, not a lot of customer service here. Rooms dated and very tired but clean - although there are similar motels which are cheaper in Blenheim with superior rooms. After checking out we realised we had left some things in the fridge - tried to call ahead but no answer. Called in and got a very stern telling off from who I presume is the owner in reception. We saw the room we had been in was being serviced so we went to ask the attendant if she had our items- this is a big NO NO -apparently you have to report to reception once you’ve checked out. Don’t worry we won’t be back!

On arrival the host said "I don't have to sell these units" and "I get paid the same regardless". I am not sure what the reason behind this was. We are a group of motorcycles but always have a smile to greet any one and are not the imposing bikey gang type. There was a question regarding EFTPOS not being available and only being able to pay by credit card, I said I understood the need for a credit card for security. I made a joke about my friend from overseas only making transactions in Swiss Francs or pies... as a joke. The host asked me if I wanted to stay there, the others said yes he's with us... the host said..." I don't like him and I don't like his sarcasm". I stepped outside so as to not compromise my friends stay. I know it's not my fault but it leaves you feeling bad regardless.…

Hello Steve, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you felt your treatment was less than you deserved. Unfortunately when your large group arrived and were made aware of the terms and conditions of payment, your attitude was unfortunately not well received. Having never met you before, you have said you were making jokes with your friends, however what you said and how you said it was not taken as a joke. Perhaps more polite communication would have saved a tense situation.

This would not be one of the most popular motels in Blenheim. It is old. Dated. Way over-priced and in need of a great deal of refurbishment(s) If you like the 70's era, then you will appreciate what you find here. If you are interested in modern facilites then you will be dissapointed.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately the Motel was built in the 1980's and as such that can't be changed, however, the rooms are refurbished on a regular basis, other than fully functioning full ovens, with new beds, bedding, carpet, televisions, furniture etc. I'm sorry that you were disappointed, however as I am unsure exactly what fell short, I would welcome an email from you. Stayed for two nights while catching up with friends in town. I travel multiple times a week for work and have stayed in many motels and hotels around the country. I was very impressed with the level of cleanliness and maintenance of the motel. The cleaning was the best I have come across with the unit being faultless - no signs of any once over jobs or quick vacuum jobs etc. Everything was well presented and the unit was well stocked with a full and proper kitchen facility. While the rooms aren’t as new as some other motels they are better prepared and cleaner than the industry standard. The grounds of the facility were also very tidy and clean which I usually observe elsewhere to be neglected. All the small aspects which are often left untouched (eg: cigarette butt rubbish outside) were accounted for here. This showed me how the newest motel/hotel in town is not always your best choice. The place is very clean and tidy (and the cleaners are very FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL ) a shame about the owner a very grumpy man indeed!!! But on the plus side close to town ( but others are closer.) Good parking and spacious inside units.

a nice enough we motel that seems to have been left in the past, pink walls, green bedding and brown carpets all made the place feel very dated despite a sign at the front saying there was a side entrance for taller vehicles i was told to park my van outside on the main road - not prepared to do this with the gear im carrying, so this was a contentious point - but solved by very carefully driving an oversize vehicle under the 2.2m awing at the front - sure would have been easier to open the side gate - but that meant opening a padlock ! Laundry overstrached to the level that it crunched when using they eother need to up the quality or drop the prices as currently levels just dont stack up
