Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here 1 night, the room was very small, just enough room to walk around the bed. It had an ensuite. Very good shower. It is modern. It is a truckstop so wouldnt expect it to be large anyway. We were put next to a Kiwicamp so was very noisy with people banging and crashing most of the night. Our room had a fridge and it was stocked with alcohol and chocolates but there was nothing to say how much it was. There was a person on site but he wasnt friendly. I would say if you stayed there take some earplugs because it is the main highway south 5 ks from Blenheim.

This is a Roadhouse and Truck Stop so will not be everyone's cup of tea.

We are in the trucking product industry and we have an AdBlue tank in the complex so made sense to stay here.

It also afforded us plenty of opportunity to take truck photos and chat with the drivers overnighting.

There are several options from camper van parking, truck parking, motel units which we had or container accomodation which apparently are very comfortable and self contained.

Our units were $100 per night and were very clean and comfortable.

Nice large comfortable bed.

Nice clean bathroom.

Parking outside unit.

24 hour cafe and food.

Great budget place to stay.

Stayed 1 night here. By all accounts is neat and tidy, clean and secure. We were meant to stay longer but had a very serious problem with mosquitoes. The Windows have no fly screens and the room is very stuffy without Windows open so was a bit of a catch 22. When we booked our booking site also said this was walking distance to town which it isn't. Very affordable but we found at this time of year for an extra $30 a night you can stay MUCH nicer places so look around.

Incredible service and great rooms. Arriving at 1.30am off the ferry from Wellington we were let down by the accommodation we had booked after they didn’t leave the key out for us.

We were pointed in the direction of the Roadhouse by the service station attendant at Z Energy in Blenheim. We arrived at 3am, an hour after reception closed, the duty manager was in her car about to leave and she opened up the office and sorted accommodation- utterly above and beyond.

We stayed in the single cabins - well appointed, clean, comfortable and the shower was awesome.

The cafe onsite does a pretty awesome breakfast as well!

Highly recommend!

Our guys called in for breakfast yesterday morning and the service in the cafe by Marie was absolutely appalling. Marie should be ashamed of herself for the way in which she behaved, spoke and treated out hard working staff.

We will never ever go back.

Stayed here for the night, rang them up late and managed to get a room after getting of the ferry. Very friendly staff who went out of their way for me, thank you! Stayed in a single room and it’s clean and comfy and has everything you would need for the night! Would recommend and I’ll stay here again

What a nightmare! When I booked this place I rang to check they take late check ins off the ferry and was advised yes they do, so I booked and was told I would get an email confirming and giving instructions on key collection the night of my booking. No email came!
Arrived at 12.45am no one in sight, walked around the in freezing cold till we found the cafe, closed of course, and found a note on the window with our name on, and another persons name, along with instructions on where to find the key, under the mat. No key, check all mats we could find, no key, checked our room number, no key, door locked! Back to the cafe phoned both after hours numbers, no response, rang again, no response, text both numbers, no response! Not happy!!
Over an hour later and more calls and hang ups the guy calls and asked what’s up? Comes out gets a new key and Lets us in, no apology, nothing! By this times it’s after 2am! Not happy!! And then they charge us the full amount!! Definitely don’t reckon staying here if you are arriving out of their normal operating hours!

Stopped there on the way to Picton, at 9pm we were talking to our friends outside their room and a women came out (assuming some sort of supervisor as she had a private room) and told us to shut up! Other people were taking further down to us, I don’t expect to be spoken to in that way, it wasn’t even said politely! Won’t ever go back - oh and it smells awful outside in the car park!!!

The motel rooms are part of whole roadhouse area and yet saying that, I found on the whole stay quiet and clean and really value for money. The food at the roadhouse - no real walking distance at all - was basic but good. Worth the stay.
