Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would say this is an average campsite. There’s lots of room and about a 20 min walk to town centre. Main downfall is the facilities. Toilets and showers were not good. Toilets clean and fine to use but sinks had old flannels on them and lots of bugs around. Would recommend showering at the block nearest reception rather than end of the campsite. Showers much better standard there!

Nice place to stay, good location, clean only problem we found was no electric blanked in ensuite rooms. In winter and paying that price you expect electric blankets. Owner told us rooms had heat pumps. Heat pumps don’t heat beds in winter. Further electric blankets not expensive. Everything else was great. Best car wash I’ve found in motor home park. Buckets cloths and brushes, wash liquid and good water pressure.

Enjoyed our stay at Blenheim top 10.
Showers and toilets clean and tidy. The laundry needs attention, the washing machines in particular as after washing sheets I had bits of brown gunk on them, machines need cleaning inside and out.
Nice camp, new bridge construction did not disturb us.
Would use again.

We've actually stayed in the room we were moved to on another visit here. Its the reason we asked for a specific room. We don't like the SH1 noise, the retractable privacy screens as "bedroom doors", the master bedroom is so small you have to shuffle sideways into the room to get into bed and we have to lock up the unit and move to the other side of the park to keep an eye on the kids in the playground.

The room specifically asked for (and was told was available at the time of booking) had solid doors for the bedrooms, was quieter for traffic noise, had a decent size master bedroom and was right in front of the playground so we could watch the kids from our room.

When I complained to the manager, he told me they moved us to accommodate a later booking and that the rooms are the same price so he wasn't going to do anything about it.

We're never staying here again.

Hi Kate: Appreicate your feedback. We have Self-contained Unit West (West) and Self-contained Unit East (East). They have same room configuration includinng a queen bed and two smaller beds in the 2nd bedroom. The only difference is East unit has 2 x singles in the 2nd bedroom and the West has 2 x bunks. They are priced the same online so there is no one inferior to another. They simply face different directions and have slightly different bed configurations. The East is away from the road but closer to the train track so you are not completely away from the traffic noise. All of the units are double glazed and there should be minimum noise once the windows are shut. We provide the best air-con system for the units to make guests feel comfortable at night. We understand you have indicated a preference of the East unit at the time of booking, however, we have made it very clear twice we reserve the right to alter the units without prior notice. Once at the time of your booking and 2nd time when the deposit was taken, both via emails. We apologize you did not get the unit you preferred but would appreciate if you could understand there was limited option at the time of year (Xmas/NY). We certainly did not downgrade your unit and would not do that to our guests without prior consultation. The unit we gave to you that night is the largest unit at the park which we normally reserve for large familys of 5 or 6 people. It's defintely bigger than the unit you have booked. We did the alteration within our rights of the property management. We'd like to see you come back so we can have a chance to do it better for you but understand you have your own choice on accommodation.

Stayed here for 5 nights in our tent with our 2 pooches. Clean & close facilities with recycling facilities. BBQ’s in great condition & the park was great for friendly short strolls with the dogs whilst my partner was at work. I was working and needed the a good Wifi signal which was excellent as promised before arrival with the very helpful manager Leon. There’s even a little herb garden & the grounds are well maintained we’ve Just rebooked our next trip for later on in the month the location is perfect for Blenheim town & hospital.

Worst place we have ever stayed for so called pet friendly, dogs weren't allowed inside or even out of the car, and there very friendly and quiet so I didn't see why this was an issue when there fully trained to stay away from everyone unless called over, distance from our room to the toilets was over 400m an was closed after midnight..
Room was hideous an untidy, blood of someone else's on the bunk top sheet.. the heater didn't even work!
we only stayed as they didn't offer any refunds an will take payment first before they tell you any information!
Absolutely horrible main owner..the man.. he was absolutely horrible to talk to in the morning about how we felt it isn't pet friendly if the dogs aren't even allowed out of the car, to which he said if he finds one dog hair in my room he will charge my credit card..after telling him how cold they were when we got up in the morning to go.. so they never entered the room.
Absolutely appaled at this place an their behavior.

We have made it very clear over the phone and at reception that pets are not allowed in the units but ok in the vehicles. Apparently your dogs stayed in the room with dog hairs everywhere. We needed to wash all the linen and treat the carpet due to dog smell and hairs. There were three dogs wondering around the park without any leash and it was requested the dogs to be on the lead immeditely. We only allow dogs to walk at the park if they are on the leash. Any loosely running dogs pose potential threat to other guests and it's not permitted at the park. When a refund was denied your behavoir has gone way out of "reasonable". Unfortunately we had come out to intervene when you tried to pee on the road in front of the office. It's an offence to other guests and totally un-civilized behavoir. The furtherest unit from the ablution block is 77m at the park unless you stayed in a different park. The heater in the unit runs perfectly. We are a pet friendly park and would like the guests respect and follow our pet policy so other guests can still enjoy the park all the same.

I found the kitchen was very well appointed and there were 3 located around the campsite, so you did not have to go far to find one. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and tidy with good water pressure. Right at the moment with the construction of the new bridge, be prepared to be woken up reasonably early during the week by the sound of machinery, but otherwise a nice place to stay. If you want a quieter spot, just ask and they will try and find one away from the bridge.

This is a lovely campsite with good camping facilities. I cant comment on cabins or motel units because I didnt use or look at them. The camp runs alongside a river and we had a lovely picturesque outlook. The showers were hot with good pressure and the bathroom area was clean. We werent disturbed by vehicle noise from the nearby bridge - it faded into the background. So we would stay again.

Other than it being clean, that's all it had going for it. Rooms were over priced for what we got and the staff were unfriendly, uncooperative without any compassion. We left something behind and rang when we got back to NI and offered to put $$$ into a account to have it couriered. The courier would have only cost 7$ much less than the item left behind and they said No.
