We recently spent our fourth 5 night fishing break at Nokomai and enjoyed every minute thanks to Anne, Louise and the team. We dined in every night and the choice and quality of the meals was terrific. We met old friends from the US and made new ones, exchanging the fishing news of the day and picking up new tips to tackle the wiley brown trout of the Matoura. The fishing was awesome, our guide Grant Adolf put us on to some great fish, the best going 5 lbs. We really recommend the Nokomai experence, the cottages are set in a great location and the ambience is truly magnificent

We stayed at Nokomai Station for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was everything we dreamed and more. There are walking tracks for miles and activities galore. The owners and people working there were absolutely lovely. They made us very welcome and made such a fuss as it was our honeymoon. It was also my birthday and they were very generous and gave us a free bottle of bubbles and desert, what a lovely thought. Thanks Louise and Ann for the wonderful food and James the helicopter pilot who gave us a personalised tour of the massive farm. And thanks to Linda for taking us out on her well behaved horses. Absolutely recommend, even if you dont fish like us!

Our family had a fantastic stay in the cottages on this working ranch and wished we stayed longer. I would highly recommend opting in for the dinner option. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. There are many activities available directly on the ranch such as fishing, touring on a helicopter, hiking and biking. The host was kind enough to set up a demonstration on how the sheepdogs herd the sheep and cattle. It is truly amazing to see the animals work. My husband had a fantastic fly fishing day going with a recommended guide from the station. I highly recommend a stop here on your way out to Fiordland.

We went tot NZ south island to have a bit of a look around and catch the scenery, but mainly to relax and unwind. We weren't exactly what to expect when we booked 4 nights at Nokomai, but it was everything we'd hoped for. Firstly, Anne and all the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. From our first welcome, to our departure, they realized we were there to chill, and respected our privacy, while still always there if we had a query or request. The self contained cottages were great, and we cooked for ourselves most meals, but catered meals were available (and tasty). The setting is like something from a movie - hidden away in a green valley, with a crystal clear river and surrounded by snow capped mountains. We did do 2 day drives (to Milford Sound and

Best highlight of our totally great New Zealand trip and that is saying a lot as the whole trip was great. We were traveling with another couple and did not know what to expect but assumed Nokomai would be good and it far surpassed that. The cabins are very roomy and well equipped if you want to fix your own meals but you would be missing a very good part of the stay if you did. The owner, Anne, and her assistant fixed really great dinners and had some very nice wine to go with them. We had lamb, salmon, beef, and some very nice vegetables finished off with really nice deserts. The guys fished for 2 and a half days while the ladies hiked and rode horses. With 97,000 acres on the ranch to roam you won't run out of hiking places. The Matatauri River runs through the station for
