Fresh flowers were awaiting my groom and I when we arrived in our cottage and that was the beginning of what turned into 2 memorable days of luxury in the country. Ann, Anna and Louise prepared delicious, man-size portions for the breakfasts and dinners. Hearty lunches were packed for the fishermen and even one for me! They have an outstanding collection of New Zealand and Australian wines to compliment dinner. We came to Nokomai Station so my groom could fish with a guide and catch some of the famed New Zealand trout. He fished 1 of our 2 days and we both wished we could have stayed longer for him to fish a second and maybe a third day. The fish are catch and release and photos show he caught some real beauties. The cottages are fully equipped with kitchen, living room, tv,

We were lucky enough to spend 2 days at Nokomai station, the first whilst other guests were there (and so we ate with them in the homestead), the second we were the only guests so the ever helpful and fascinating Ann (the owner) cooked for us and delivered a very hearty meal to our cabin. As we are not fishermen, Ann organised a horse trek with a neighbour, Linda in Garston. We were the only riders and Linda was a brilliant character and her horses obviously much loved. Ann also recommended a walking route around the station and provided a potted history for us. A stay at Nokomai is a very interesting way to see life on a working station. The accommodation was spacious, the food good, the surroundings beautiful and the team (Ann and Laura) very caring to ensure we had a

From the time you arrive here until the time you leave you will be totally looked after in every way. We came with a group of 16 people. We arrived at lunch time and were served a very amazing lunch. Home made 100% beef patties and slowly rotisseried lamb, along with a line up of beautiful bread rolls and condiments. We then went on a tour of the farm which was very relaxing. Dinner was of a Christmas theme and the dining room looked totally amazing and festive. The food was better than any 5 star restaurant we have been to. Breakfast was fantastic and the usual farmhouse fair. The lovely ladies will take your orders and deliver your breakfast to the table. The cottages were beautifully appointed and equipped with washing machines and driers. The beds were comfortable

We spent 2 weeks in NZ and wanted to end our visit with a stay on a Sheep Station-Nokomai was everything I had hoped for! The property is staggering in it's beauty with literally thousands of sheep (& some cattle) everywhere, the accommodations were spotless and most comfortable, and the family style meals first rate and it so much fun meeting the other guests. The opportunities to hike or fish on the property are extensive, and first rate, while the location one hour from Queenstown makes for an easy and beautiful drive. Ann and her staff go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome, and do it with sincerity and warmth! It was the most terrific experience and made our wonderful trip to NZ perfect!
