Chris, Kris and Andy welcome you to our warm friendly homestay [Guesthouse/ B&B] for gay men and their friends. Enjoy the architectural curiosity of our house, our stunning garden and harbour views, and the warmth of our all day sun. In summer (Nov-May) our secret garden and lawn are great for drinks, private sunbathing etc. Our two hot water 'outdoor baths' with huge views are available year around - and really good to experience at night. You can expect a warm comfortable and attractive bedroom. The Moon and Sky Rooms have queen sized beds - the Bosom Room a single. Your bathroom is shared with other guests. We provide a continental 'help yourself' breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities are always available. The lounge and dining area with amazing views is shared with us and other guests. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrived there on my first night in New Zealand, & was humbly wowed by the night time view, until the next morning brought the morning view from my room on the top floor. I stayed 3 nights & was well looked after by Kris & Chris (Andy wasn't there), & part of the wonderful experience was meeting the other house-guests from diverse backgrounds & all over the world, LGBT & LGBT-friendly. I was there in the summer so the walks up & down the hill into the CBD were beautiful & refreshing.

Second time staying at this awesome place. After my first one night experience had to come back here for an extended stay. The home and garden offer fantastic views over Wellington and the bay, while being only a short walk from the city centre. The house is an amazing architectural oddity with the fabulous secluded private gardens offering beautiful spots for intimate picknicks or open-air bathing. Can't recommend it highly enough. Gay owners Chris, Kris & Andy have all kinds of delightful home-made foods and wines on offer!

We only stayed for one night, but really loved this place. Chris, Kris & Andy, the hosts, were all great -- friendly, helpful and hospitable. We felt like part of the family. Plus our room was totally awesome! We stayed in the Sky Room (I think), and it really fit it's name. The room sticks out from the house and is half windows with views over the city and up at the sky. It really was amazing! And the rest of the house was really fun and funky too. First we drove up the maze of winding roads to the house, then we walked up the 40 steps (I didn't count them, but that's what they said), and then there's the multi-level multi-color, multi-shape house. It's really cool! It's a real piece of art. And it's actually pictured and described in a book about the architect. Wow! It was fun seeing it, and driving around the neighborhood to try to find a good place to get a picture of it. With it's perch up on the hill, the views were incredible. Although it was hard sleeping, at least for me, because I couldn't help watching the moon wander across the sky and watch the city lights below. What a fun experience! Anyway, between the view, the funky house, and the amazing hosts, it was truly a wonderful experience and a great memory. I hope we get a chance to go back.

Had an amazing 3 days here....Kris was a fantastic host....The home is amazing with many different things to find....The outdoor baths are amazing with a Million Dollar view...being on a steep hill there are many, many steps to climb so if you are mobility challenged then this may not be the place for you.... A Fantastic Gay Stay Place.
