There were 4 of us in a business trip for 3 nights. We were booked into a 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor. The apartment is spacious with 2 levels and was clean and well serviced. There are great views from this apartment.
The upper level has 2 rooms and a bathroom. One room has 2 single beds and the other has a queen bed. The lower level has one queen bed room, bathroom, lounge/dining and kitchenette.
It was very cold outside and the fin heaters kept the apartment warm once they had been on for a while.
On the second night the wind was very strong and the building swayed a lot.
There is mention of the sway in the welcome letter and a reassurance of 93% earthquake safety.
The swaying was quite surreal. Like being on a cruise ship. One of our group was quite sick.
We felt safe but uncomfortable. It is certainly something to be aware of.
The staff were excellent and very helpful.
The apartment is in a great location with quick access to shops and restaurants.

I agree with one reviewer that it was dark. My room had windows but they faced the inside of the building so very little light could get into the room. It is an old building with "character" and comes with a small kitchen. The TV was okay but stations limited to anything to get excited about. Grocery nearby as well as MANY restaurants. It is a distance from the ferry so a taxi is required. There were 3 packets of instant coffee and not replenished for the second day; use tea instead! I loved having the washer and dryer and having talked to the young man at the desk I had no problem using them. FYI the desk closes 8pm and the front door is locked so if you are out after that, be sure you know how to get in! There isn't anyone at the desk in the morning until 9am, so if you need a taxi have a plan. I had a bit of an issue but calling from the room to a "contact person" who called for the taxi worked. My trip organizer booked for me so I have no idea the pricing and whether it was "fair".

I stayed at this property for 3 nights with my 2 Kids for a holiday to Wellington. We often stay in a Quest property in Auckland so I thought I'd give this one a try as well.

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment on the 14th floor and my first impression was that it was very dated. At a guess I'd say that the building was built in the 50's (I work as a Builder) but its been renovated a few times since. The bathroom looks to be constructed in the early 90's and parts of the apartment have been updated more recently. It is a dark apartment and we needed the lights on most of the time we were there. Functionally it works, although the bathroom is very small, and the washer dryer didn't seem to be able to dry (after a few cycles) The kitchen is basic and has most things to cook a basic meal. It also has a dishwasher located in the lower part of the oven. All in all it was functional.

The lobby and lifts had an extremely strong air freshener smell (i guess this may be for Covid?) not the most pleasant. The building has 2 lifts which is nice with this many floors and usable stairs. Front counter staff were pleasant and efficient, and the housekeeping staff were good. As far as cleanliness I'd give it a 3 out of 5. Generally the apartment was clean. There were a number of small things broken or not working, mostly general maintenance items.

Our biggest issue was on the last night, my son thought he felt an earthquake when the door started rattling. However after I noticed this some time later I realised that it was the building swaying in the wind!!!! If you get sea sick this building isn't for you! it was so bad that I could see a toy car on the bedside moving back and forth. We all managed to get to sleep but it was certainly disconcerting. In the end both kids (9 and 13yo) asked not to stay again at this property.

If I was on a tight budget, I'd consider staying again myself, but definitely not with my family.

We booked a one bedroom apartment for one night, found the space to be very cramped and dark, with 2 small windows looking out at office buildings. Glad we had just a short stay. On the plus side, facilities for making our breakfast were good. The location is great with shops and restaurants nearby and waterfront is close. The unit had a washer/dryer, unfortunately the instruction sheet did not seem to be for the model we had, made doing laundry more difficult. The bathroom was very small and had no space at all for personal toiletries.

Stayed 2 nights here in February. The hotel is very basic and more suited to business travellers. It is apartment style. Our room had 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a lounge/kitchen. Beds were big and comfortable, plenty of pillows, nice selection of bedding. The rest of the room was clean and tidy, but pretty basic. If you are staying over on business it is ideal. WiFi was simple to set up and fast enough to stream a movie. Pricing was average for Wellington. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a suitable size for a short stay, with a comfortable bed and full kitchen setup. During the night the building made a lot of noise in the wind, you could hear the pipes dripping between the walls and the external windows creaking, which was a shame. Parking is offsite across the road and up a high level, so time consuming to go in/out of.

The mattress was well past its use by date. The springs were felt through the material and no sleep was had. It looked very old. The dining chairs felt like concrete. The valances were stuffed in the cupboard. Both were dirty. These were obviously there if someone wanted 2 singles instead king size. The spare blanket was dirty. My husband only just fitted in the shower. A big man wouldn't have. To add insult their charges were no cheaper to reflect average to basic accomodation

Stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The small kitchenette was functional but we didn’t need to use the cooking equipment. Due to arrival time had to do out of hours checkin which went smoothly and instructions were communicated in advance. Staff were friendly. Our first night in Wellington was very windy and we found the minor swaying motion of the hotel unnerving at first but after a while didn’t notice it. Hotel information had details on why the hotel sways which was reassuring. We stayed after a trip on Northern Explorer train, hotel was within walking distance to hotel (max. 10 mins with luggage). Walking distance to shops and cable car, needed a cab to get to Interislander ferry

It’s quite passable as a room for the night but there’s no doubt better value for money could generally be found. Ironically on the night I stayed the accomodation was very scarce hence staying here. Room was ok size, bathroom was small and not in the what nick. Staff were friendly and the location was handy for me.

Exactly what we needed for a one night city stay. Excellent value for money. The two bedroom apartment is very clean, well equipped and comfortable.
The upgrade was noted and we are very thankful for.
Would come again. Thank you to the staff member who were super friendly and accommodating in storing our luggage for the day. Much appreciated.
