Stayed for 3 nights in Wellington, Bolton is in good location with friendly staff, the valet parking is 30 dollars per day which didn’t seem too bad.

Typical city hotel but better than most. The room was in sections, lounge, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Great views and very central to all city facilities. Parking is on site and easy to use although tight.

A family member recommended The Bolton! They understated how good it was. The bathroom attached to our room was superb - one of the best wet rooms we have ever encountered on our travels. Plenty of room in the suite too. Even the creaking building...More
I stayed at the Bolton for a week while on business and I would think there are better hotels in Wellington. The lights kicked off 2 separate nights when I was using the iron. The blackout shades did not black out the light which made...More

Hi Jack. I'm pretty sure it stops near the train station which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You can catch the bus which is very cheap to the train station from the airport then walk. very easy and cheap.
There is a bus stop 50 or 60 meters from the front door of the hotel. The Wellington railway station is less than 10 minutes walk. Te Papa is a 20 minute walk. We look forward to having you come and stay with... More

$30 a day valet parking, but we stayed across a weekend and mostly avoided this by leaving it on the metered parking in the street outside. This was free overnight, but did mean either feeding the meter by 9am or moving the car to avoid being fined. Across a holiday long weekend this worked fine for us. There's also a public car park right across the street with cheaper hourly and overnight rates. Ultimately it depends on how much hassle you are prepared to put up with to avoid the $30 fee.
