Cannot rate the hotel high enough! We booked as part of a family trip to Wellington. 2 adults and 2 kids under 6 staying in one of the twin room suites. The concierge arranged the airport transfer including car seats. Their provider was so good we booked the return transfer with the same person. The hotel team held on to our bags both on arrival, until the room was ready, and on check out while we explored the nearby gardens. During our stay nothing was a problem. Plenty advice about where to eat with the kids, playgrounds, suitable walks, and when the walk to an attraction might be just too far. The team were also quick to provide a stack of "emergency" plasters when our youngest's world collapsed. We had a late lunch in the restaurant the day we checked out and the team provided activity packs for the kids to keep them entertained. The room was clean, with a great view of the gardens and sunsets. Blinds for privacy and the blackout curtains meant the kids slept in a bit. The minibar was well stocked and priced on par with what you'd pay at a restaurant. But the highlight was the pool. There's a range of pool toys and the kids took advantage, swimming once or twice each day. If you have young kids this is a great place to stay.

We stayed 5 days over Xmas and all the staff and service excellent. Restaurant and room service plus the mini-bar were a definite plus. The cityscape view enhanced our stay as the pleasant outlook made a difference. Centrally located and handy to shopping precinct.

Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Welcoming, friendly, and efficient reception, appreciated the valet parking. Happy I chose to upgrade to suite, comfortable and well appointed, liked the mini iPad, very comfortable bed. Restaurant staff excellent, extensive wine and drinks list, food great. I would not hesitate to return to the Bolton and highly recommend it.
