The room feels like you are in a dungeon and a noisy one at that. Nothing worked. It is winter and a cold southerly blowing outside but you cannot turn on the underfloor heating in the bathroom. It is deliberately off as there is no power connected. The heated sleeping blanket is broken. Whoever owns this place is too tight to actually buy a small sofa so that you can sit comfortably and watch T.V instead there are two hard dining chairs. You cannot watch the T.V from the bed as it is on the side wall and does not swing around. To add to that the T.V. reception is so poor we gave up trying to watch it! There is no soundproofing so you can hear everything in the next room. This has to be the worst motel I have stayed in in New Zealand ( at $250 for 2 adults and a dog is criminal) which is a shame because with a little bit of love and money it could be nice.

Room Tip: Nicely placed for ferry crossing but you are better staying in a nice hotel in the city for less.

Currently staying here, manager won’t refund us even though beds are gross and uncomfortable. Dusty rooms and don’t feel safe. We have expressed our concerns but all he elseems to care about is the money. Will never come here again!

This place looked the part online, lovely photos etc. But in real life the room was very crammed (we had the 2 bedroom apt) and there was no space around the queen bed so not much room for bags to be stored in room, very untidy, felt dirty being in the place, no towels, had to ask, cleaner had forgotten to put in room, mould and dirt around the place, sofa was flaking off parts of the leather which stuck to you. The host was very friendly though so that was great, he was very apologetic about the towels etc.

Tiny rooms with not much walking around. Alright for one night but no more, close to the ferries was good. They had bill boards advertising breakfast but there was none at all. For tea and breakfast had to drive up the road or go across the highway. would not stay there again.

I'd highly recommend this accommodation if you aren't needing to be too close to the city. Lovely staff, beautiful modern and tidy rooms. Pet friendly options also available at this hotel. Loving the finer details down to the shower with many settings, make up wipes and toothbrushes.
