We have 2 days to explore Wellington and places to go includes Weta cave, Wellington museum, Wellington zoo, cable car and botanical garden. Location of this accommodation is quite close to the places we wanted to visit. We are staying like 2 blocks away from the cable car ticketing booth. We do not have time to go to the water front but I saw signage stating water front is like 10 mins away by foot. There are stores and supermarkets right below the hotel. Complete set of kitchenette is available in the hotel room which my family loves it. We cook and eat before and after our day trip. This is something which we do not have chance to do when we are at home.

An excellent location in the city centre and within walking distance of the waterfront, botanic gardens, Te Papa and Parliament. Key things to know before you book: 1. Parking is offsite in a public car park and is $31 per night 2. If driving, enter via Gilmer Terrace and check into the accommodation from this entrance (5-6 short term parks outside the reception doors). No parking is close on Lambton Quay 3. Rooms on level 7 are only available to guests via the stairs - so double check your room allocation before heading off. 4. Air conditioning is only in the sitting room - not suite bedrooms. 5. Countdown (supermarket) is very close for the self caterers.

We stayed in a two bed two bath apartment for 2 nights. This apartment was huge and had a large 8 seater dining table. The kitchen area was a little small but perfectly adequate. My room faced the high street and I heard no outdoor noise whatsoever. I’m a light sleeper so this was a bonus. My bathroom had a washing machine and dryer in it, which is handy if you are on a long trip. There isn’t a restaurant onsite but it’s not really needed as there are numerous restaurants, bars and a supermarket practically on the doorstep. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the harbour where there were several bars and restaurants. We were only there for 2 nights which was okay and suited our needs.

Pros: I was staying for a week and booked a studio, and was given an upgrade to a one bedroom apartment which was much appreciated; All the staff were friendly and helpful, the size & cleanliness, the location can not be beaten. The free coffee for the supplied plunger. I forgot to take my 2 charges & cords, which they returned to me, (at my expense which is understandable - I was just grateful to have them back) Cons: The apartment only had one window in the corner so little natural light and no view, but as I was out during the day this was only very minor. On one day (Thursday) the housekeeping was not up to standard, but every other day was very good - if not for this would of given 5* Overall very happy, and have even made another booking for April 2024

Hi Rydeboi, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and greatly appreciate your positive comment about our staff. We're pleased that the suite size, cleanliness, and central location met your expectations. We also take note of your constructive feedback about the limited natural light in the apartment and the housekeeping standard on one particular day. Your insights are valuable, and we'll use them to enhance our services further. Please note that we offer city view rooms, which are located on the street side and offer a vibrant city view and plenty of natural light. Additionally, our Gilmer Terrace side rooms may not have much of natural light but offer the unique advantage of a quieter environment, making them perfect for light sleepers. We're glad that team located your lost chargers and cords. We understand the importance of these items and are grateful you got it back. It's fantastic to learn that you've made another booking for April 2024. We look forward to welcoming you back and ensuring an even more enjoyable stay. If there's anything specific you would like us to address before your next visit, please feel free to let us know directly. Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Kind regards, Rajeev Dahiya Front Office Manager CityLife Wellington

We arrived by car and it took a bit of finding as the hotel has pedestrian street access but vehicular access and parking is the block behind. The car spaces directly in front are awkward if your car is large but there’s plenty of parking a short distance away in a multi-storey. Reception will give you a card to display and there is a fee. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was smart and clean. It had everything we needed including a washing machine and tumble dryer! The kitchen was well equipped with a neat drawer style dishwasher under the oven! Shower was good too! Would definitely recommend - it’s well situated for shopping - the museum is excellent too and plenty of places to eat. The cable car for access to Zealandia and Botanical gardens is literally round the corner.

We arrived fairly early in the day with the kids. We were greeted by a smiley young lady at reception who was polite, professional and very friendly as well. While the room was not ready which we expected, she took her time to find one that might have been ready for us. After couple of minutes, we were given a room, our bags were taken down by a gentleman who was friendly and well presented. We enjoyed every moment of our journey. Weather was great to do some sightseeing, housekeeping service was spot on and check out was hassle free. Best place to stay in Wellington. We will certainly be back soon.

Arrived with our car only to be told that we had to park across the street behind the hotel in designated parking bays only to be slugged another $31 a day on top of our accommodation. No-one told us about that hidden little expense. The room was absolutely beautiful and so comfy & quiet. We were lucky we got a room at the back of the building because we saw no-one and heard little. Reception is on Level 6 and you have to get a lift down to ground level. Reception staff were a bit on the unfriendly side (apart from a sweet Scottish lass from Aberdeen). The location is one block away from Queens Harbour, and two shop fronts from the Wellington Cable Car.

Hi Jibby9, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're pleased to hear that you found our rooms beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. We're also grateful for your kind words about our staff member. Your comments help us enhance our services. However, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding parking. Wellington CBD parking can be a little expensive, and it's an additional service that comes with an extra cost. We appreciate your feedback regarding communication. To ensure our guests have a seamless experience, we advise of parking options and charge, when we are made aware by our guests that they are traveling by car. We're committed to improving our services and guest experiences, and your comments help us in this endeavor. On the other hand, delighted to know you enjoyed the central location of our hotel, and hope you had a great time exploring the nearby attractions. We value your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Wellington. Kind regards, Rajeev Dahiya Front Office Manager CityLife Wellington

I stayed with my family and business before. It’s just perfect. 5 star service with warm welcoming to check in, to cleanliness and departure. They make feel like home away from home that you don’t always get when you stay in a hotel. Everything is close by, spacious, quiet. Electric car charging stations and recycling options in the rooms are also great. Just top notch service from everyone. Thank you CityLife. We will be back.

We had the two bed apartment and it was very spacious clean and every want catered to. Heating Kitchen laundry ...excellent. Also middle of CBD so made travelling around easy. Staff were very helpful and polite. Bus almost at the door. The one negative was that there was no lift to our floor hence two flights of stairs which was a nuisance. However the staff took our bags up in service lift. Would return
