Stayed here with my daughter as we needed two bedrooms and options were limited. The apartment sadly needs an upgrade and it was impossible to sleep in my room as blinds on three walls let in so much light. I bought an eye mask after the first night which helped a bit. The fridge was broken and froze all our products like milk and yoghurt. The told us they had fixed it but no change. We then put our products in the freezer at night then moved them to the fridge during the day!! Nowhere to sit really either. They need to get new drapes, fittings, paint and furniture asap.

Nice boutique hotel, with a art gallery feel. Just be warned, food is crazy expensive ( $12 for toast, $18 for a bacon roll!) and some rooms are direct views into the gym, 2 metres from the window. So you cant open the curtains, or you can if thats your bag. . ( see pic). If you get a first floor room, make sure its not on the gym side. Also they provide a kitchen and coffee, but no cups to drink it from. Style over substance with a few essentials missing. I asked at the desk to be moved but they declined. Im back in November, but not at the QT.

This is part of the QT, so it shares an amazing foyer/reception/bar area etc. The rooms are of a very good standard, although they are not high-end.
The location is very good for access to Te Papa and waterfront. A few mins walk to Cuba St. Staff very good. Enjoyed the billiards room. Recommended.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Museum Apartment Hotel in Wellington. The location was perfect, right across the street from the wonderful Te Papa Museum. We spent a rainy morning at Te Papa, walked back to our room to rest and have lunch, and then strolled back for more museum viewing in the afternoon. We loved the quirky artwork throughout the hotel. The staff was polite and attentive and went to some trouble to find a room that was ready for us when we arrived a few hours before check in time. Our room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we loved having the convenience of a kitchenette so that we could make our own breakfast. Parking was 40 NZD per day, which seemed typical for downtown Wellington, and the staff were very accommodating to make sure that our car was available whenever we needed it. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to stay in Wellington - great location beside the harbour, stylish decor and comfortable rooms, quirky artworks in the public spaces, great views, nice lounge/dining area and good facilities. You're close to everything - but also have a sense of space and quietness. We'd happily stay there again.

The room 104 was opposite the gym and pool - the windows looked right into the gym and pool and vice versa so you had to keep the curtains shut all the time - it was too dark even during the day not to have the light on (anyway the curtains were closed), there was no privacy. The Mitsubishi Heat pump sounded like a jet engine (nothing could be done when I mentioned this) and had to be turned off at night. A very disappointing stay.

Dear anette20172017, In our eyes, anything less than perfectly plush is unacceptable. So we apologize things weren’t as comfy as they could have been for you. If you’ll give us a second chance, we’ll give the pillows an extra fluff or two for you. Reach out to myself at emie_gagne@evt.com and we’ll make sure you’re as snug as possible next time. This is such a fun and cool hotel. Location by the Te Papa museum
Is fantastic. The hotels art work is very creative and fun. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in a studio apartment - the windows don’t open.
A big thanks to the duty manager, YAGIK - we couldn’t manage to operate our washer dryer and then a hotel wide issue with the water - all solved quickly and he was fantastic. Very helpful and professional. Thank you.

Had a wonderful one night stay to celebrate our anniversary. Nicely furnished spacious room, comfortable bed and good shower. Decor really nicely done, good kitchenette facilities (we didn’t use), huge bath, dual shower heads, fluffy towels and lots of nice touches (robes, KM toiletries, T2 tea, coffee machine). Loved the art everywhere, particularly in the lobby. Really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

I returned in January as a guest to the apartment-hotel after staying twice before. I had a choice of hotels to book from, but I came back here specifically based on the pool & spa facilities, plus excellent restaurants. That was a key criteria in making my selection. And to give myself a little bit of luxury such as I had experienced here in the past.

Everything started brilliantly when I arrived straight from the airport to drop off my bags at 10am. I received a very friendly greeting and the young man told me that my room was ready & I didn’t have to wait until checkin time. Fantastic! But it kind of went down hill rapidly after that.

I went to lift the plug in the sink and it was absolutely filthy with gunk & hair (see photo).
When I went to have a cup of tea, there was no milk in my room (they did rectify this quickly). Then after an unusually hot day in Wellington, I got into my swimming togs and arrived at the pool to a closed sign. And got nothing but misinformation from staff on that issue.

So I emailed a complaint to give them a chance to put things right. Had a great response from the front office supervisor Ellie who offered me a voucher to use on food and drink. I was really pleased with how she handled that and I told her that I would use the voucher at Hot Sauce the next evening. She was then rather embarrassed to tell me BOTH hotel restaurants (Hot Sauce and Hippopotamus) were currently closed for refurbishment. Why you would close both F&B services at once over the busy summer holiday period? To be honest it looks like nothing happening in Hot Sauce, so I wonder if it is something else e.g that they can’t get enough staff? The restaurant closures were not mentioned at checkin, and had been included as features in my welcome email the day before my arrival, (along with the pool facilities). When I did go to the bar to cash in my complimentary voucher today, they didn’t have the champagne that I wanted and the bar was SO packed and noisy that I moved to a local bar for cocktails and food instead. I wasn’t even offered nuts for the table when other groups were. Solo travellers are often overlooked for service. I came back later in the evening and ordered a wine & asked for some fries to be sent up to my room. The fries took ages to arrive and the staff member said the order got lost on the way to the kitchen.

The lack of expectation management for guests around the facilities - particularly the pool closure, and the unhelpful manner of one person at the concierge desk on Friday mean this will be the last time I stay here. They did get the pool open on Saturday afternoon, but it was half a job - with the spa remaining out of order. Despite Ellie’s best efforts, a comfortable in-room experience and the friendly check-in guy, they just got too much wrong this time for me to risk it again.

Hi Kini, Thank you for taking the time to detail your sub-par stay with us. I am glad to read that our Front Office superstars where top tier. We understand that as one of the only hotels in the capital with a spa and pool, there is a large responsibility to ensure our facilities are in a working order. Unfortunately this does mean we have to have them out of service to ensure the chemicals and PH levels are safe to swim in. We take full responsibility that our team did not communicate this in an effective way upon check-in or when you spoke to them again. I did go over with our team that we need to be giving out guests all the current and relevant information on check-in, immediately after you informed me that we had not. I have passed your review to our senior management team so we can resolve these issues as soon as possible. We would love to welcome you back to show you how incredible we really are. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you wish to return to stay, my email is ellie_castle@evt.com Best regards, Ellie xx
