Naumi Hotel Wellington, a sensory dreamland where you can stay high and get low on Wellington’s electric Cuba Street. Play, nestle, indulge and colour outside the lines at our brand-new boutique hotel for romantics, bohemians, trendsetters, adventurers and wayfarers who seek the finer things in life. With a familiar atmosphere, the new hotel tower borders Naumi Hotel Wellington and compromises of 62 spacious large rooms, more like a studio apartment than a hotel guestroom: invoking a sense of home – away from home, so you can rest and rejuvenate in undeniable comfort. Bold palettes and delightful design reflect the essence of Naumi – A kaleidoscope of accents, expertly refined. With nature as our muse, distinct colour blocks in each rooms invite tranquility: lilac, avocado green, rusty red and subtle turmeric = reminiscent of a Wellington sunset – tastefully juxtapose with ultra-modern carpet, where diagonal stripes run below your feet in fluorescent hues.

Nestled in the heart of Wellington, Naumi Hotel receives accolades for its eclectic decor and prime location near Cuba Street, making it a vibrant choice for cultural exploration. While the rooms are celebrated for their style and comfort, some guests point out they can sometimes be on the smaller side and get quite warm. The cleanliness is generally praised, although a few have mentioned the minibar and cutlery could be improved. Staff are noted for their friendliness and attentiveness, though service experiences occasionally vary. The value proposition is debated; while some appreciate the overall package, others find certain services overpriced.

This boutique hotel is ideally located on Cuba Street, meaning there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops to choose from and it is only a few minutes walk to Wellington city centre.

The chic and colourful design adds a unique touch to each spacious room. In-room dining and a private kitchenette were available in my Oasis King room if you prefer to have lunch or dinner in private.

Parking with direct access to the hotel can be booked for a small additional charge per night.

A small swimming pool and hot tub are located on the 4th floor if you want to relax after your day.

This is a really nice new hotel at the top end of Cuba Street. The decor is fresh and funky. We stayed in a Habitat King room, which was very spacious. Huge TV. Modern tech in the room. Only odd thing was the lack of kitchenware. There were hobs for cooking but nothing to cook with. Apart from the 2x wine glasses, 2x cup/saucer/teaspoon sets, and 2x water glasses, there was nothing else to use. No cutlery, no plates, no bowls etc etc. Just empty cupboards. Parking is available at $30 per night but they have limited spaces. Would absolutely stay again.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the suite was both beautifully designed and uniquely charming. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special, organizing a thoughtful birthday surprise that included complimentary wine and delicious truffles.

The level of service was outstanding—every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had a memorable stay. The hotel’s location is perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

The front desk needs a wake up call, expecting guests to know that the system is also a self check in is not evident. The room clean was sub par, cleaning a disposable spoon and placing it back with the coffee cups was terrible and clearly a single use product. The shower head was more like a boggle head on a gravel road. General cleanliness was sub par…

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I'm sorry that your Naumi experience left a lot to be desired. Whilst we offer self check-in at our kiosk and a traditional check-in with our team, I'm sorry that these choices were not communicated clearly. We clearly missed the mark when it came to the cleanliness of your room. Please be assured that this has been followed up with our Executive Housekeeper. Regards Rick Crannitch General Manager

Stayed in mid March 2024 for two nights.

Overall the hotel is very stylish and beautiful to look at and was very impressed by the set up and the location of it. Cuba street is vibrant full of life especially in the restaurants and bars.

We were located on the first floor and had a pretty snug (small) twin bed room with no decent view at all (just another roof) but that wasnt a huge problem.

Room had everything you needed but as a 6ft 3 (190 cm) guy I struggled to sleep and the bed width wasnt that great either.

Breakfast was an additional charge $29 if you stayed in hotel or $32 if not which sadly for me wasnt worth the money.

I do like my English type spread fry up and the choice wasnt great, bacon over cooked, baked beans was in fact broad beans, sausages felt barely cooked and warm only and the potatoes felt pretty hard and tasteless yes I was dissapointed sadly. We even had problems with the toaster. If you dont like fry ups then you do have a decent selection of cererals etc. Not worth $29 / $32

It was a shame as would rated the hotel more but the breakfast let me down.

No complaints about the staff who were vety friendly.

My bathroom was not fully cleaned when i checked in. They don't offer laundry services only dry cleaning which makes no sense at all and is misleading based on the information i found when i booked the hotel. I don't recommend their breakfast buffet either, it was unappetizing and not worth the money.

Perfect location to explore the heart of central Wellington and was super quiet at night. Loved the funky interior, colours, shapes and spaces. Stayed in a King room, had everything I needed. Can highly recommend Ombra, Floriditas, Customs - all very close by and delicious if cheap Prosecco at happy hour, hot coffee and cheesey cheese scones are your thing!!

Great hotel right in the centre of Wellington. Modern, funky , beautifully decorated and furnished, really interesting public areas. Associate on reception welcomed us warmly and checked us in efficiently. Melody (I think that’s her name) definitely set the tone for a successful stay at this hotel. Room (Blush King) is large, bright, corner windows with city view. Very well equipped, although some plates, bowls and cutlery would be useful as they have a microwave/ fridge etc . Free mini bar and snacks is a nice idea but bottles of water would be appreciated instead of the pop. Bathroom nicely done , plenty towels, amenity kit etc but we dislike having the shower in the bath - would prefer the option of separate shower. Would also have liked bathrobes.
All in all a great stay at Naumi Wellington!

Dear Management,

I would like to commend your hotel for the exceptionally friendly staff and the excellent conference facilities. The young German lady who organised our event was truly amazing and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a great environment for our guests.

However, I must bring to your attention some concerns regarding the prices in the bar. We found them to be quite extortionate, and it was challenging to find anything more expensive in Wellington. Additionally, the early closing time of the bar was disappointing, especially considering that the staff then spent two hours tidying up and directing guests off-site for a drink.

I believe these issues could have a negative impact on the overall guest experience and I kindly urge you to consider addressing them to maintain the high standard of hospitality that your hotel is known for.

Our second time staying at this quirky hotel - decor is fantastic! We had a Habitat King Room, same as last time, and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the brightly coloured decor. The bathroom had a walk in shower and was a good size, although the vanity space could have been larger. Last year when we stayed there were snack baskets in the rooms but this has stopped now, however there was an enormous jar of Eskimo sweets at reception and we could help ourselves to that - tongs and paper bags provided!
Happy hour in the bar ended at 5.30pm - we almost missed out! - but the staff were very friendly and obliging when we arrived right on 5.30pm.
Breakfast had everything we could want, without being super fancy.
The hotel is located in the middle of Cuba Street with a great choice of cafes and restaurants right outside - just perfect.
Really enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be back again.
