This was a quiet stay at a brand new hotel in a central spot in CBD. The hotel takes up three floors of the building, the remainder of the floors are residential apartments.

Fittings and furnishings are new, as is the building itself.. This hotel has been open as of June 2021, I recommend staying now before it loses its new shine.

The 1 King Bed room had floor to ceiling windows and there was muffled traffic noise from the busy street below. Because the location is not in the main strip there was no noise from revellers late at night.

Room had all the usual items including washer / dryer. The kitchenette was well equipped but had no oven. It had a coffee plunger however there was no complimentary filter coffee.

Good shower pressure and good quality soap, shampoo, etc.

There was an average amount of storage space in the room to store belongings. There was ample space for two people to move around, perhaps enough for 2 with a child.

I did not see a safe in the room, nor was there a intro book with additional info.

Staff were super friendly. Also, reception are happy to hold onto a bag for a few hours.

I did not see a dairy or supermarket in the immediate vicinity. Recommend Caffe L'affare for breakfast.

The staff are so friendly and helpful here. Very welcoming. Excellent room. Even a studio room had full facilities such as washer and dryer and kitchenette with dishwasher. Very close to many great restaurants and Te Papa an easy walk. Excellent place to stay when in Wellington

This Ramada is centrally located in Wellington and many attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. We had some issues checking into our first room (door would not open) and the reception staff were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite! The front desk is not always manned but this was not an issue when we stayed here as we had no issues getting in late or checking out early.

The suite was very comfy and well equipped with a separate living area from the bedroom. The living area featured a well equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher, mini fridge, tea/coffee station and all kinds of dishes and cooking wares. They are thoughtful here and include salt/pepper, milk in the fridge and even dish soap! The bedroom was very comfy and despite facing the street below we didn't hear a lot of street noise. The bathroom had a full size laundry and drying machine so we were able to get some laundry done and they even included some detergent. The soaps/shampoos were plentiful and all smelled nice.

We had some issues with temperature during our stay. The corner suite is west facing and was letting in a lot of the afternoon sun so it was very warm when we got in. I believe they usually keep the AC unit on in the morning to help with this issue but we had an unexpected issue with our first room. It did eventually cool off and then we had issues with the dryer in the bathroom later that evening because the dryer vent is not directed outside and instead makes the bathroom very toasty when used.

Overall, we are happy with our stay and felt this was a great spot to get our laundry done and relax a bit as we made our way through New Zealand. We would recommend it if you're travelling and want laundry insuite or want to save on dining out by dining in with the kitchenette.

Great location easy walk to excellent restaurants in Cuba St. Had great onsite parking and the rooms have a washer and dryer. Kitchen had everything you need and the beds were comfortable. The mirror in the bathroom had a demist function which was a great touch. The staff were lovely and welcoming.

On Taranaki Street and proximity to the food street is it's a locational advantage. The room/suite we stayed un in 3rd floor was spacious with all the amenities in place and in working condition...washer/drier/dishwater/microwave etc. The reception staff are very polite and cooperative. There is no housekeeping but all toiletries can be replenished in request. Only disadvantage is that there is no in house restaurant. Vending machines have beverages and snacks. Highly recommended.

Common areas needs updating and finishing to a better standard, carpets need replacing. Kin bedroom small and bathrooms could be cleaned better with rusty blind and toilet fittings, loose toilet seat. Low speed internet

I stayed at this hotel on a wet and windy night. It was very comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Restaurants, cafe's and bars were in easy walking distance. Taxi fare to the airport was $25 with a voucher from the hotel.

The hotel is comfortable, clean, and a good location for walking to Cuba Street with its good choice of restaurants. Te Papa and the waterfront are about 15 minutes walk down Taranaki Street.
The reception staff were really friendly and helpful.
The room had a small kitchen (hob, microwave, kettle etc) and a dishwasher, so if you want to cook in, you can. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer too!
A good sized room, with a separate area for the kitchen and seating.
Cost is medium for Wellington - which means it's not cheap! But good for the location.
We'd certainly stay here again.

where is the closest parking lot?
Answer from urbanite88
Auckland Central, New Zealand804 contributions425 helpful votes
You could download the parkmate app to park on the city council street car parks. Or else there is mevo car share company where you can locate one of their cars, using their app, and use it and then park in any street car park. The parking fees are paid for by the mevo rental charge.
