I had to write a review on how helpful, friendly and forward thinking Sanah is from Quest on Durham. I have worked in the Events and Hospo industry for so long and I can honestly say she is one of the best in the game. Nothing was too hard, I had a group booking that had to postpone due to Covid and she had already thought to hold rooms, even in case we needed extra. Sanah, thank you for being great. Ask for Sanah, she is so helpful and friendly.
Lovely friendly greeting upon arrival. Free parking just across the road ( on weekends). The room was a great size - balcony had a bit of a view of the water . The apartment was lovely and clean and the bed was super comfy ! Location is awesome - walking distance to many great food places. Free wifi too which is always a bonus!
I stayed in room 002, ground floor. This was a two bedroom apartment (I was upgraded). It was spacious, and clean and tidy. I've stayed in Quests from Auckland to Invercargill and this was one of the best. I book serviced apartments when I travel so I can prepare my own food. Often the kitchens are quite poorly equipped. Maybe there's no sieve, or no tin opener, or no vegetable peeler. This one had everything I needed for once! And they passed my personal acid test: the iron was completely free of burn marks! The staff at Quest kindly took my supermarket delivery order and even put things in the freezer and fridge as appropriate (I've had other places leave frozen food to thaw). It's quiet and well positioned for the centre of town. Unlimited WiFi is a real plus. I'm not much of a TV watcher but there seemed to be a full Sky service.…
Somebody in room above so inconsiderate making all the noise in the world. Tell reception and get told it's a privately owned apartment above and that they can't do anything about it. Surely as a hotel guest due service should occur. Ridiculous.
due to lockdown, we were obliged to spend 37 nights at this hotel and were really happy to have landed there, good room, sunny and calm, an a 1A top service. Remarkable management team. We felt like at home...
We stayed for 5 nights and whilst the room itself was lovely and the staff were very helpful be very careful which room you get. There is a large multi storey car park being built and it completely obscured our view as it was about 15 feet from our window and balcony Appreciate the property have no say over this as it looks like it's being built by the council, but I'm surprised there was no offer of compensation for this (at least some communication in advance to warn us). We couldn't check in until about 7pm as the room wasn't ready when we arrived at 10 am and then were at the cricket all day so when we did first see the room (they had given us the key at 10am), there was nobody to complain to, so we just put up with it.
Great 2 bedroom apartment overlooking Tauranga and the sea. Spacious and clean as well as 4 small balconies. The location is excellent...walking distance to shops and restaurants. Quest has good amenities with a practical small gym as well as parking.
From the moment I walked in to this near-new Quest Hotel I was impressed. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and had a great personality. You definitely get the feeling of a ‘boutique’ hotel from this two-story property. My room was spacious and very well appointed with a queen size bed, kitchenette and large bathroom. Someone with some taste has done the interior decoration and included good wall art, cushions and warm tone colors throughout. The room seems well insulated from any noise on the street just one floor below. Definitely recommend this place.
I stayed here for three nights while working in Tauranga. The apartment was spacious, (two bedrooms), the kitchen well equipped and the bed really comfortable. The spa bath was also lovely. It is in a pleasant location near to the waterfront and there are plenty of places to eat. The supermarket is a bus ride away, but that was not an issue for me. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I was given lots of useful advice on sight seeing during my evenings off. I had a large broken suitcase which I wanted to leave. This would not fit in their rubbish Shute, but they agreed to take it and dispose of it, even though I knew that would be inconvenient for them. If I come back to work in Tauranga, this will be my hotel of choice.
I was in a group of 4 which stayed here on Business as agreed we were looking for something with a kitchen so we could cook our own meals as restaurants were not our thing, so we were given this gem and for the last 8 months we were well looked after by the lovely staff at the Quest on Durham. We were rotated around in different rooms each week which was good in that we got to sample nearly all the different rooms they had (1 room, 2 room & 3 room) The rooms were all of good size, well maintained, serviced daily, beds, blankets, kitchen, bathroom, laundry all there for us which was a plus In the time that we have stayed here I have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff, office and the housekeeping departments thank you very much for your service, we will cherish the memories. We hope to check in again soon Mahalo Mia, Pres, Tuato & Semo (the happy boys from NZBUS)…
