This is up there with the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The place was so clean. The little extras done by the owners really make this place special, like the towels artfully arranged.

Thank you for your comments. All of our units have new fridge/freezers in them. We are surprised at the comment of the bed in unit 19 as it is less than one year old. Admittedly the one in unit 15 is a different brand and...More

The issue we have is that if a booking is made and the guest does not arrive, then we are unable to get the funds to pay for the room as the potential guest can ensure there is no money on the card. Therefore we lose out.
Also, if there is any accidental damage to the room and the guest does not have $500 (our insurance excess) available on their debit card then we lose out.
It is also proof that the guest is 18 years or over (under 18 year olds cannot contract to stay at a motel).
You don't have to borrow money to have a credit card. A high value limit is not necessary. It only costs an annual fee if you pay the bill in full every month.
A credit card is handy for emergencies - such as paying for any accidental damage, a car breakdown etc.
We have no intention of changing our policy on this.
