Thanks again for choosing to stay with us here at the Comfort Inn Academy. As we mentioned, we've just taken over the management here, if there is anything you'd like to see for when you are next free, more than happy to hear...More

Spacious one bedroom unit, 2 TVs, large lounge with kitchen (with cooking options). Large bathroom ensuite with both a spa bath and a separate shower. Heatpump and ceiling fan options. Friendly staff and welcome. Just 5minutes from Tauranga centre.

The issue we have is that if a booking is made and the guest does not arrive, then we are unable to get the funds to pay for the room as the potential guest can ensure there is no money on the card. Therefore we lose out.
Also, if there is any accidental damage to the room and the guest does not have $500 (our insurance excess) available on their debit card then we lose out.
It is also proof that the guest is 18 years or over (under 18 year olds cannot contract to stay at a motel).
You don't have to borrow money to have a credit card. A high value limit is not necessary. It only costs an annual fee if you pay the bill in full every month.
A credit card is handy for emergencies - such as paying for any accidental damage, a car breakdown etc.
We have no intention of changing our policy on this.
