We had two rooms and one was better than the other. Our bedroom did not have air conditioning so did not have a great night's sleep. The other unit the family Tustayed in did. I found the hosts to be super friendly. The place was lovely and clean. Great laundry and would recommend. If interested in going into Tauranga for a drink, then you should get change out of 20 dollars.

Stayed 2 nights. This is an older property and is reflected in furnishings and fittings. Property clean and functional with a good but noisy pool area. Convenient for dual carriageway road into town. Nothing to complain about. Functional is best way to describe this property.

We stayed over the week of Xmas, room was clean, very comfortable & quiet. Yay they looked after staff & gave cleaners xmas day off. Pool & spa clean, used daily. Location spot on, car was parked up most of the time, supermarket within easy walking distance. We are repeat guests & will continue to stay at Summit Motor Lodge.

Welcoming, Clean and perfect for families. Our kids loved the pool and spa area. Rooms were great size with a beautiful view on the second deck. Staff were polite, welcoming and really helpful. Would stay here again!!

Good : The staff were efficient. Milk was supplied upon check in. Bad: The shower broke when my daughter was having a shower. Hit her face, took her to the emergency, had it stitched ruined our first night. My wife stepped on a gib board screw on the floor around the walls had holes. Couldn't walk properly. My daughter is 2 years and 1months They will charge $35 per person for extra person charge because she is over 2 years old. If you are under 2 they won't charge extra person charge but if you are over 2? You will get charged $35 per night. Something I learnt? I will pay extra to stay in a better place from now on and never go to a motel looking at a rating on TripAdvisor saying this place is good to stay.

Response from Summitmotorlodge, Owner at Summit Motor Lodge

Good Morning Jun, I have read your response, It would be helpful if you could advise which shower your 2 and 1/2 year old daughter has broken as we are yet to find it. You also refer to walls as having holes in them ... where? You also refer gib board on the floor with a screw? This is a surprise to us as the Executive Studio is fully carpeted. All staff are unaware of any incident but are sympathetic to your daughter's accident if we were aware we would have assisted in any way we can. On your next visit, It would be a kind approach to book the correct number of people staying rather than arriving with extras and being aggressive in regards to the required payment. Booking. com is a professional site and precise in room allocation and numbers of beds you book. Thank you for your reservation
