AMAZING! Kerry-Anne the owner was absolutely superb. Very welcoming and friendly, the motel was spotlessly clean and comfy and generous size rooms. Would highly recommend staying here and we will be back when next in Tauranga. Brilliant!!
The place seemed fine on arrival. A couple of hours later when my new baby grandson and parents came to visit. Things changed 5mins after our kids arrived there was a knock at the door ..The manager asked our guests to leave 6oclock being too late for visitors..our guests left immediatley. The manager then asked my husband and i to leave also..She said i will give your bond back if you leave..with cardiology appts the next morning this was not going to happen.. I called the police as i felt she was try to defraud us of our money we had done nothing wrong except have guests before night fall. The Manager not happy with the police response. Which was ..we dont have to leave.. Manager and her husband are drinkers and it reflects to the point ..dutch courage prevails I have now read reviews on how people have just packed up and left because of the behavior of this woman. If you have done nothing wrong and this happens always call the police. Defrauding money from people in this manner is wrong Great for NZ and Tourisim ..Report Report Repot..…
Very centrally located. The rooms have surely been redone. Freshly painted, clean rooms with a modern bathroom, super clean sheets & towels. We were staying in room number 2. They have a heat pump & air conditioner too which is very helpful. One can clearly see the extra work being put in by the staff. The owners too are very nice & friendly. Couldn't ask for anymore. I would surely come back here on my next trip to Tauranga
A quick trip to Tauranga & we definately should of avoided this place. The owner stank of booze, prowled around the motel late at night, and then caused some drunken rucus with other guests. No hospitality in this motel. I should of read the reviews first.
Unfortunately our whanau were told to leave and we’re racially profiled in the process. Management we’re both rude and unreasonable as they watched over us packing our things and refused to let us try to leave in peace. The owner stunk of booze and had no remorse for their actions. Really disgusting..choose any other accommodation!
Touring the North Island . Live in the South Island. Fled Northland in the middle of the night when we found out Auckland was going in to lockdown at 6am in the morning. Made it to Tauranga before the road blocks went into effect. Tried to get accommodation at several motels but was turned away or told to try later in the day (when they expected cancellations to hit them). A big thank you to K.A. who was on reception at the Ambassador. She was kind and understanding, arranging for us to occupy a room hours before normal book in time so we could rest. She constantly and cheerfully offered us information and advice during our two day stay. No complaints about the accommodation. Clean and tidy and great location as a "home base" while we visited a number of friends and relatives in the area. Will stay here again. KA wish there were more like you in the business. …
Stayed for two nights on a business trip and I could not have asked for more really. Firstly would love to thank the owner, sorry didn't catch your name but you were amazing. Really looked after us and went above and beyond to make sure your guests are having the best stay. The room I had was immaculate, recently refurbished and had everything you needed including Sky TV. The only negative point I could make is to have a taller shower but wasn't a major issue. Thanks again and hopefully will stay again for our next trip down.
Kids loved having a trampoline and pool on site. Parents loved the cleanliness and customer service! Family unit was perfect layout for a family of four. Staff members were very friendly and welcoming.
We were 4 adults 1 child staying in Room 17. Great cleaners I should know as have been a cleaner 35 years in all aspects of the cleaning industry.motels/hotels included and have stayed in so many nice room but that's the only good point.we had a visitor and 2 children added to the mix they were laughing having fun we sat down to dinner and were conversing with each other the children were eating at the coffee table the motelier come up to tell us to lower our voices as there were workers downstairs from us so all through the catchup of my nieces they were whispering HOW RUDE!! because they did not want to make a noise the children did not once jump around they were told to whisper not make a noise. Next morning rang and asked if we could rebook for another night and were told room was taken of course we knew this to be a lie so stripped beds tidied our mess left our rubbish behind told the cleaning lady so ensured dishes were done as I know they have to rewash all the dishes again (well we always did in the motel I worked in) even put the sofa bed back together that is how we roll as a whanau try to make it a little easier on the cleaners and not leave a mess for someone else to clean..found another friendlier motel more private and relaxing Ambassador Motor Inn made us feel like we were on tenderhooks walking on eggshells when the manager told us to keep our voices down it was on the tip of my tongue to remind her that it is a motel different story if we were boozy loud and proud but that just made matters and staying there crap really.. as for asking to rebook the child with us was going back to her home in Tauranga one of my nieces and I had just finished the Targa motorsports Rally my other niece fell ill and ended in Tauranga Hospital which was the reason we were in Tauranga we were told by Manager that we could rebook if we needed the only reason we did ask to rebook was to save the hassle of finding another motel so in hindsight her NO was a godsend and we found a much better and relaxing place the laundry was right next door to our room a bonus for us. Recommendation Not family friendly Manager patrols the area so if you want to stay in a motel thats not a motel this is the place to be so Ambassador Motor In you need to change your amenities availability and take away the family friendly because for a Motor Inn/Motel you truly are not I can imagine how those WINZ clients feel poor kids!!…
Amazing service and room! Staff were so kind and welcoming. Our room was very clean and new! It is very comfy! Definitely reccomend! It's also very close to the city and mount which made travelling around easy!
