Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super friendly host (thanks Dominique!). We stayed in unit 7 on second floor. The place was very clean, spacious and plenty of sunlight getting in. It's not luxurious but has all you need. There's thoughtful minor touches that you'd not find in your usual accommodation in NZ - such as a bottle of wine for not smoking :)

Had a mint time staying from Friday through to Tuesday. Super close to the venue, town and the main drag. Dominic the hotel manager was super attentive, helpful and all round cool. We used the BBQ which was a great addition to the weekend. Only minus would be the want and need of air conditioning when it gets hot. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to whanau and friends.

The Roselands Motel is located very close to the main street in Tauranga, but because it is tucked neatly in the corner, it provided a quiet and peaceful environment for us during our stay. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. Our room was immaculate. We would definitely come back.

We were passing through late on a Friday night and needed somewhere to stay to rest our heads. Thank goodness we came across Roseland Motel who were still open and had a room available for us. They even offered there service to cook us a hot breakfast in the morning as we needed to get back on the road by 8am. Very accommodating and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and warm! Breakfast was hot in the morning and all we needed to get on the road again. New owners are a lovely couple. Would stay again because of great hospitality and location is close to town and beach.

We stayed here one night with two others. There was ample room in a one bedroom unit, with a second bed in the lounge. The owners were so helpful and friendly. The unit was lovely and clean, with good quality bed linen, contributing to a great night's sleep. We were so close to town for meals and close to the boardwalk for good interesting walks. The trees and gardens help to contribute to the overall peaceful feeling.
We will come back and also recommend.

What a delightful couple who run this wee gem, close to the town. Although not a 5 star property, they certainly have 5 star standards of cleanliness, genuinely welcoming and warm, spacious rooms. We had to ask if we could bring our 6 month Cavalier kC spaniel at the last minute - no problem. We took her crate and bed and she was happy and safe. Nice quiet streets to walk her. Will recommend and definitely stay again.

I stayed for one night while in the area for work. I emailed ahead as I was arriving late and they left a key out for me. Rooms basic but comfortable. Good location a short walk from intercity bus stop and city centre. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

My friend and i would like to thank the hospitality of the hosts and staff for an awesome overnight stay in their motel.

The staffs was really friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms and toilet and well presented. Easy access to town yet minimal noise. A wide garden area and easy parking space.

The location is OK. Easy access to the town centre and restaurants but supermarkets are far from the accommodartion if you walk.

The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were all clean and service daily.
Threre was electric branket under the sheets so I can slept well at cold nights.

The doors of the rooms are glass like big window. It may looks good but everybody can see inside the room without curtains, so I drew the curtains and put the lights.

In front of the rooms is car park. It's probably convenient if you can park your car near your room, but not only you can park a car in front of your room.
When I was in bed at night, somebody park a car just in fornt of my room and didn't get off soon...the light was on for several minutes.
I felt unsecure...because the door was glass, easy to break...

There was free wifi.
