Detailed Reviews
The wife and I usually opt to stay at Quest whenever we are out and about good old NZ simply because we trust the brand.
Check in was a breeze and VINAY was awesome. He explained how things work (getting in/out after hours), parking, reception hours and how to contact outside work hours, etc..). He was also kind enough to help the wife with our luggage while I was parking the car. Great attitude with a smile and a witty thing to say every time we strike a conversation.
The room was spacious enough to accommodate two. Bed very comfy and enough pillows for a 4-person pillow fight. AC works a treat, cleaning and housekeeping is what you would usually expect from a place of this calibre. All the necessary amenities (and then some that are not as needed) were present. Last but certainly not least, is the washer and dryer set that I love staying at Quest just for the sake of having them. Being an avid runner even on holidays and escapades, they are life savers when washing and drying running outfit is needed.
Location worked pretty well for us. Proximity to many eateries, shops, and one of the many Tauranga waterfronts meant we did not have to leave the area or drive around every single day. Just be mindful of the extra charges ($15 per night for Quest parking), if you're planning on coming by car.
Enjoyable stay, fabulous location, professional team all around, and an excellent brand.

Great location, nice and clean with everything we needed. Reception was welcoming. The bathroom was nice and everything was comfortable. Having the ability to park our car was good even though we had to pay another $15 per night, but would prefer that to leaving a car overnight in the street in a city. Definitely stay again

Stayed for a couple of nights which after a long drive was welcomed. What wasn't welcomed was we arrived outside of office hours on a saturday and needed to pass credit card details through an intercom while on the street which we found unacceptable.
The room was very good with fridge washing and drying facilities in the room. Tea and coffee and TV all included. The room was good as the hotel is reasonably new. Shower and bathroom good. Hopefully it remains good after more guests have been in the coming years.
Parking was good and under the building and $15 a night which is good value give on street parking is chargeable. The hotel is centrally located for bars and restaurants as well as easy access to the roads north and south.
Apart from the access, the other concern was the reception was not staffed on the Sunday on at least 4 times when the hours of operation were open. We accepted the rooms were not serviced at weekend but all we really wanted was additional coffee which we were unable to get.
Would stay again when we next visit however by then hopefully access and staffing will have improved.

The man at the front desk is very helpful, extremely friendly and always up for a chat about the surrounding areas and what to do. We couldn’t ask for better customer service.
As we were travelling for business and our booking was left until the very last minute we unfortunately didn’t have much options in regards to accomodation. We would have preferred something larger as we were staying for 2 weeks. The room was small, no opening windows and although a small view we felt boxed in.
The facilities are good. Although we were low maintenance and didn’t require room service daily, the one day we were rushed and had to leave for the morning we had a complaint our room was messy!!!! Unfortunately the manager who made complaint was not available to speak with at the time the poor man at reception had to relay the message to us, saying it was noted our room was messier today and asked if we could please ensure our room was clean. Not only was this embarrassing for us, as the past 7 days we have only required services a few times but the absolute hide of management to accuse us of such “messy”. We don’t use the tea, coffee and other things they put in our room. We even had the dishwasher brake and didn’t complain. Needless to say when we travel again in the next 2 months we will not be booking this hotel for our stay.
Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

The location is perfect, right downtown. Parking is a small extra charge but totally worth it. The room was clean and well appointed; excellent shower. What makes this place is special, however, is the amazing concierge/desk agent, Daniela. She found us everything we needed, including a few vegan restaurants, some great hiking trails and even a masseuse. Come for the good hotel; stay for friendly and helpful Daniela.

Came here with a group of about 10 people. The service we got was PHENOMENAL! From booking to departure we cannot fault!
We were greeted on arrival by management, (in the car park!!!) With a lovely warm welcome. Check in was seamless and we were in our rooms within 5 minutes!
The rooms are lovely, very well appointed AND they have laundry facilities in the room, fantastic for us as we were half way through a weeks worth of travel. Everything is immaculate and clean! The bathroom is gorgeous with a big shower and perfect water pressure!
We are ABSOLUTELY going to come back here, the location is central and you can find almost anything you need close by.
This is the best place I have stayed in the north.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!!!

I stayed her on a Saturday night in May 2022. I didn't plan to use the carpark, so I parked my car on the street just a block from the hotel. There were parking spots right outside but they were taken. The street outside the hotel was relatively quiet but further up there were plenty of restaurants, Starbucks etc.
The reception was closed (roughly 6pm on a Saturday night), but I called the number from the pad outside and someone buzzed me in. I collected my key from inside the hotel. That worked fairly well, but I wouldn't want to arrive in the middle of the night!
The hotel was tidy and the room was large and comfortable. The wifi worked well. I would be happy to stay here again.

This relatively new property is very centrally located in the CBD. A very comfortable room with all the amenities you require. Well priced! If you book an onsite car park be sure to get directions as it is not well sign posted and there is no parking immediately outside the front entrance. If you book this Quest you will not be disappointed

Worst hotel I've stayed in. Rude customer service. Never again 👀👀👀
Lady in front desk was unhelpful and rude.
Can't understand in this day n age.
Have traveled world wide and Italy was the most friendliness place you could wish to visit along with Ireland.
But I can't fathom why the Quest have the attitude it has..
Not good folks.
