We dropped into Omokoroa's kiwi park last minute and absolutely loved our stay, we ended up staying longer, kitchen was always clean and has plenty of room and cooking areas, teatowels, cloths, and cooking trays to use. toilets and showers were always clean, it has a playground for the kids, tv room and pool table . The thermal pools were amazing! Especially in the rain!! They were every clean and emptied and refilled often.
The hosts were lovely and gave us info about where to visit.
Grocery store right across the road, aswell as liquor store and fast food.
Laundry room was ok, dryer took 2 1/2 cycles to completely dry our load, but there was a clothes line with pegs suppli3d aswell.
9 minute walk to the beach (check for hightide before you go) and have a cooler swim.
Definately plan on coming back here.

We love this place. Clean tidy and run really well to ensure maximum comfort for all guests. The hot pools are a hit and all facilities are exactly what you need. Location is fantastic with a walk along the estuary to the beach and supermarket, cafe, bar, Indian, pizza, sushi, chemist etc across the road. We have been many times and will be back many times.

A very clean and well presented campground. If you plan to tent here like we did, be warned, the sites are small. We could only just fit our tent and trailer. No room for the car or gazebo. Hot pools are nice but lacking in shade. Kitchen facility's are OK but bring your own dish liquid/scrubber (started leaving these at home as every other campground we've been too recently has them). Also there is only one standard size fridge so pack light/invest in a good chillybin. Supermarket directly across the road is handy. Playground is small but good for 3-7yr olds. 20-30min walk to the wharf/ main beach. Water right around the corner is suitable for launching a kayak at hightide or having a knee deep swim.

I stayed here for one night as other camps in the area were full. I had a powered site, for my motorhome. The site had lost its number marker and it did not have a power box directly linked to it ! I plugged into the one behind through the hedge. I negotiated the price of $45 per night for one person for powered site, down to $35, this is expensive, as the most I've ever paid in any camp in the Nrth Isld is $25. This is off season, no one in the camp, it should be winter rates. The owner told me they charge for the hot pools, that is why its that price. There's many camps around the country who have pools both hot and cold and they dont add their electricity bill into your accommodation fee ! They were not worth the $10 he included in the nights stay. Yes, the pool water was nice, facilities changing room average, no privacy (more like a bus shelter). The camp itself is older but clean and tidy. Lady in office (owner?) didn't seem confident with the computer booking system. I'd paid online as requested to do so by the man owner, Sachin. I have never had to pay up front like this before in 3 yrs of travel !

It’s a lovely spot and the soda pools are awesome. However a few simple things would make a big difference. The bathroom is tiny so a couple of hooks would be great, and it was very hot in January, so a couple of pedestal fans would have be great. The pool area is nice, but would love to see some fairy lights. But overall it’s a great place and very clean and tidy.

Our family stayed in the Omokoroa Kiwi Holiday Park for a wedding in the area, the 3 bedroom unit and facilities were brilliant, especially the Thermal Pools. Will be coming back in Winter for sure. The gardens and surrounds were gorgeous and obviously well cared for by a green fingered enthusiast. The only thing missing was an aircon unit, definately need for 6 adults in the summer periods, but apart from that our 2 day stay was a lovely exerience.

We have stayed at several camp sites, but this was the tidiest and best rum of them all. It is small, but quiet and with a mix of guests, it seems to cater for all ages. With a supermarket opposite, it is perfectly positioned as a base to visit the local area.

Excellent facilities, everything you need is here and very clean. Communal and safe feeling even in the off-season as there are many regulars staying. This would be perfect for families or small groups enjoying the hot pools and local attractions.

We came to omokoroa top 10 as we had a dance competition in Tauranga. It was myself and my two daughters ages 10 and 8. We arrived late at night and the man at reception was very kind to wait for us to arrive and also called to make sure we were ok. Very small basic park but it had everything we needed for our short stay. There were some very loud guests in the park playing music info wonder if perhaps they were permanent residents.
