Jason was extremely helpful advising on local landmarks and places to eat. The self catering room sported its own thermal pool outdoors and the geothermally heated swimming pool was a joy. We bought a steak and trimmings from the local Countdown and made an excellent supper for ourselves. I wish these motels would provide a dish to microwave in though. Unfortunately there was a power outage in the morning so we moved. Otherwise would have stayed 3 nights.

The manager could not have been nicer. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a group of 10 teenagers on a sports trip and they were flexible and helpful. Rooms were clean, roomy and well set up. The pool was amazing!

Very average! Rooms are well overdue repairs and upgrades. Spa pools need a paint and so does the main pool. But the owners were lovely and the location was perfect for us. Motel is very noisy being by a main riad and we were constantly woken up by cars coming and going in the carpark because it has gravel.

This establishment allows pets, but quite frankly I wouldn't let my dog anywhere near it. Spent a week here on work (clearly upset someone in bookings) and found it thoroughly unpleasant. On entry to the room I was greeted with carpet stains and an aroma akin to an ailing widowers home. Single beds serve as lounge seating and wooden decor and panelling throughout gives a distinctly 80s vibe. Shower is lined with black mould. The thermal pool may well be very pleasant but given its condition (refer to photographs) was not something I wanted to immerse my body in. Location is undesirable and driveway is on a corner of a busy road which is treacherous. All in all a dreadful time. Fortunately a corkscrew is supplied, as if you stay here you'll certainly want to drink.

We arrived early for checking in at this motel coming from Waihi beach. Firstly the reception was closed for nearly 1/2 hour without any signs. Another lady was waiting at the reception and was checking out 2 days early because of too much traffic noise the Motel was full she offer us the room as the manager could not find our booking he did not want us to take the lady studio giving a lot of excuses no staff,NZ regulation safety etc.....we could not be bothered arguing then we left.We went across the road to a really friendly Motel

Room had a strong smell of dog: “pet friendly” is a disadvantage to the next guest. Floor showed signs of use of dirty mop. Dark and in urgent need of refurbishment. Not appealing at all so looked to spend time out. Main busy road on blind corner and felt it a little bit of a lottery getting in and out.

I’ve stayed here a few times, it’s dated and I’m not fussy, I don’t expect perfection for $155 in fact I’m chill as..... However the cockroaches, the huge amount of goo/skin particles in the spa, the worker walking in while butt naked in the room, the sticky floor and I could go on....... I won’t be back, sorry Bennett’s but please lift your game .........

This motor inn is quite lovely. I stayed here while having medical treatment nearby. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. There is a neat kitchenette with everything you might need. They have recently upgraded to have sky tv in each room which is a plus. The staff are friendly and helpful. I’ll happily stay there again.

We had read some of the reviews so were a bit apprehensive but we had a blast! The check in was quick and easy and a super friendly lady took care of us. Our room was clean and plenty of room for the four of us. Yes it’s old etc and yes the furniture and decor is 80s but that added to the charm :-) The family pool was clean and the pool toys were extra fun! We loved our little personal thermal pool .. nice and relaxing!

We stayed here for two nights. Yes it is a bit weary and tired but being done up. Main thing is that it’s kept clean, the staff are lovely and friendly and having the private thermal pool (cleaned out daily) was fantastic. Great place to relax and unwind
