Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Photos are great, but room was not as expected. Executive King, was far from executive. Shower was old with yellowing formica walls, had security light outside keep going off and shining into room, no blinds to stop this. Pillows all mismatched in shape and size, the two singles to create a large bed meant a hard high bit right in the middle of the bed. So not the best for couples. No Sky only netflix. Had a young boy literally stare at us the entire time when leaving, made me feel uncomfortable. If this was detailed as a standard, i'd be ok, but there was nothing executive about this. Lady was lovely when checking in. But was still disappointed with quality, wasn't what I would have expected for an "Executive King Room". Also to note, is in a flight path, so lots of low flying plane noise.

We had a lovely 9 day stay in an executive king room. Lovely clean and tidy, warm as it had a heat pump, plus plenty of fresh towels daily and the kitchen te served our needs admirably. Easy free parking and so close to the town centre and great takeaways. Joyce and Dominic were excellent hosts and nothing was any trouble to help with our stay.

We are a family of 3 and stayed 4 nights in a studio unit. It was perfct for us, with a well equipped kitchen and enough seating. Very clean and nicely done up. Excellent, friendly service. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from a Countdown supermarket, and just down the road from a beach/estuary that has an awesome walking/biking track around it. Pool was clean and our daughter loved it.

It's been a while since we stayed and it was great to see Cobblestone has been really well maintained. Everything was fresh and bright. It was so hot, the pool looked pretty appealing too. Best of all is the fantastic motel manager - apologies for forgetting her name - but she really couldn't have done more. Super-friendly, very attentive and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

We came to Tauranga at short notice during the main summer holiday period, and had limited accommodation choices. We were very pleased to have found this motel - it’s a hidden gem. Spacious room, comfortable bed, good kitchen, nice surroundings, and quiet (we were down the back). It was also reasonably priced. We wouldn’t hesitate in coming back again.n

It was a very disappointing experience after the personal experiences with the previous owners. Our complaints included only basic crockery & cutlery (3 of each) & very limited kitchen utensils -i.e. no vege peeler, egg slice, 1 small saucepan (oh, & spare lid!), only HAIRWASH ( for shampooing, as labelled) in the shower & told it was a 3-way wash!!As for the fridge - the freezer section was completely iced up & unusable, and fridge still contained an opened item from previous resident - we are assuming?! All in all - had to pay full price for stay on arrival. It was certainly not a so-called 'Superior Suite' due to the lack of service and for the price paid!

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year as it was the only place available. I would not recommend this motel. It is very basic and the price was way more than we paid at other (much better) accommodation during our travels. There was an ashtray full of butts on the terrace of our room when we arrived, which was the first turn off. There was an extra bed in the main part of the room and when my wife pulled the blanket off, there was a bunch of ants underneath (thankfully we did not need to use this bed). After we turned out the light for the night, the people in the neighbouring room arrived back and started up a conversation for about an hour. The walls are paper thin and you could hear everything they were saying. In general the room felt dirty and the decor is in rough shape. All in all not a great experience.

Booked this accomodation because they were the last available rooms in Tauranga for 6 people. Received a phone call at 4pm demand that we be at the motel at 6pm because no staff would be there to check us in and that management was having an early night. On arrival was not greeted, receptionist/management was very rude. straight to the point she than said can you afford $300 for bond followed by if you stain the carpet we will take your bond and before we reimburse your money I will be over in the morning to check the room for any damages. Blankets, ironing board etc just thrown in the wardrobe (in both rooms) ice box in fridge iced up, and all 6 of us woke up with bites over our body. And as a non smoker the table out side with an ashtray was disgusting ashtray dirty and table had not been wiped down in a while and no aircon. Other than that the pool was nice and town was close.
