We arrived late and the key was in the lock box at reception as we were told. The 2 bedroom unit was comfortable and warm. The beds all had electric blankets. My husband made use of our private hot pool before he came to bed. This is our ‘go to’ place to stay in Taupo. Especially if we need a 2 bedroom unit. There wasn’t a box of tissues anywhere and that is my only negative comment. They now have a cafe on site and the coffee was ok.

My first impression of this hotel was that it was the sweetest place I've ever seen. We only stayed one night and wish it could have been a few more days. Plus: Location is great, rooms clean, a nice breakfast/lunch bar on site, lovely calm rose garden, friendly staff, and the private mineral hot tub. Negatives: spotty wifi, cramped shower. There is a wall mounted a/c but don't know how efficient it is. I would recommend.

An older resort but very clean, very tidy, very comfortable, so ticks all the boxes. Small rooms, seperate kitchen etc plus a great thermal hot water private pool at back of each apartment, great to relax in, very hot but lovely, helpful manager, free WiFi, a great choice

An older place but not run down. Had its own mineral spa with plenty of room for two people to wallow about in (soooo relaxing). Great kitchen facilities & easy parking. Stayed here 3 nights & loved it. Hosts were great - helpful & welcoming. Free laundry facilities. Highly recommend this nice motel.

Hubby and I stayed one night for a quick romantic getaway. It was just lovely. It was cozy and had everything we needed. It's close enough to town to walk in for a couple of drinks and a meal. The private thermal pool was the icing on the cake. Affordable, relaxing and private. We will definitely be back.

This establishment is classed as a resort bit is really only a motel which is part of the Golden Chain of "Superior Accommodation" which is a misnomer. We booked through Interval International but the "Resort" is nowhere near the standard of other world class establishments. Admittedly the room is self contained but the dining table is very small and can only just accommodate two people. The bedroom is upstairs and is very difficult to approach by means of a narrow steep staircase which is very difficult to reach especially since all the other facilities in the unit are downstairs.

We booked on the phone and there was a bit of a mix up because the receptionist said she would accept the booking of 5 kids with 2 adults, however when we got there, on their computer it showed only 4 kids ..so we were put on the spot for a moment about what to do. However a quick check of the email confirmation showed that 5 was as originally accepted and so.. .. the reception graciously honoured that (although we were both confused as to how that could happen.) The rooms are modern and clean, with heater and electric blankets. We stayed in the two story which had 2 bedrooms upstairs and the bathroom and a sofa-bed downstairs. Enjoyable and relaxing mineral pool big enough for a kids paddle is in a private enclosed deck area at the rear. Theres a well tended garden and

Perfect for families as there is bedrooms, kitchen & a living room as well as private thermal spa. Note that it is a short distance from the downtown area but this town has taxi service for a reasonable price. Great for both short and long term stays.

Lovely and clean. Comfy bed. Good shower. Decent size room. Nice outlook onto rose garden with lake in distance. Bit dated but comfortable enough. Only downside was the hot tub was not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there is no step to get down into it and it is a very big drop. Needs a seat inside so you can step down onto the seat and then sit on it (as there is no seating in the tub). No air conditioning but fan available.
