The rooms smelt musty downstairs. Upstairs smelt of old oil and greasy bacon. The beds dipped in the middle. First time we haven't stayed when we have booked and paid. Obviously they had us. We had already paid and weren't going to refund.

Room suited us for one night. Friendly welcome at reception upon check in. Pricey considering the uncomfortable beds. Spa and pool, our kids loved it. Was a nice way to unwind after a long drive. Car parking diabolical. We went to dinner only to return and find no available car parks. We did a few loops around town, stopped at the Bottle O and made a call to the Lodge to ask about the parking situation as we had kayaks tied to the roof of our van. "Parking is full, park on a side street" was the response from the receptionist after I'd advised her we were carrying expensive camping equipment and kayaks, after being hung up on twice, assuming that was a mishap on her end. Luckily by the time we drove back someone was leaving so we could park our vehical safely on the premise. A convenient place to stay, also wish we had read the reviews before booking. Kids enjoyed themselves, had their own TV, fan, room. Plenty of space in the family room for luggage, to swing a cat, could even do cartwheels in it.. just. Understandably a busy season. Obviously room to car park ratio is off. Perhaps dinner guests coming to the Lodge restaurant could be asked to park on the street. Not paying guests.

We book a family room for one night. We have been told the price is $ 150 and I called twice for confirming mail but not received. When I reach the price was different and I paid for the increased price. The reception was fantastic. They support always with a smile. The only thing is you should Lock your price by confirmation mail or text. Sam Banerjee

Room Tip: Avoid taking a room near the cafe. They have live music on Sat Night. Not sure about other days.

Nice little place to stay, good rooms, great bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Car park is a little small when they are full. but plenty of parking on the roads around the area. 3rd stay will stay again.

What a joke this place is . Payed $170.00 for a uncomfortable nights sleep . The room was musky and smelled, the bed was apparently brand new but yet so uncomfortable, the fan in the bathroom sounded like it was gona explode when u turned the light on . The noise from upstairs was unbearable , keeped us awake till 1am . we asked for some wat of a refund and got the you should of told us last night story . DONT STAY AT THIS MOTEL ! We visit motels regularly and this is the first time ive ever written a bad review . DO NOT STAY HERE ,avoid at all costs. We traveled all thru south east asia and never had a bad experience like this . COME ON NZ , why are ripping our own people off ! !
