This was about our 4th stay at Suncourt and was disappointing this time around. The room we were allocated was so small after other rooms we had previously stayed in here, we checked in but I immediately wanted to get out of the room as it was so claustrophobic. The place wasn’t overly busy and as we’d been a few times before and booked direct, we had presumed we’d be given a decent room. In saying that, it was clean and ok, just really poky, down the far end of the complex by the road and the bed was facing away from the lake and with a very tiny space between the bed and the desk that it faced, so we were pretty unimpressed. We were only there for a night so decided not to make a fuss but if we return, I would probably use a booking site and select a bigger room.
Views are breath taking. The staff was amazing. Barb took wonderful care of us. Very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to town and the pubs and restaurants. If we pay another visit to Lake Taupo we will definitely stay at Suncourt.
Had one night in Rotorua and this was the perfect place to stay. Peaceful and a calming view of the lake. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant there with wonderful food and reasonable prices. was lovely and clean.
Book a lakeview room and wake up to uninterupted views of Lake Taupo. The location of this hotel makes it a great choice....plenty of restaurants and bars within a short walk. If you dine in their restaurant then its even more convienient......our evening meal was cooked well and the service was fine. Breakfast was much easier to have it here than walk along to another cafe....good coffee too!
Such a lovely place to stay. Staff are friendly. Had the Early Bird dinner for $35.00. The sirloin steak was devine and came how I asked. I had the Creme Brulee and that was the best one I have had. I reccomend this to everyone.
