Highly recommend Accent! It’s very well priced, very clean , right across from the lake and management are so friendly and helpful. It’s slightly out of town centre but there’s a great lakefront walking/ bike path to get there. I would stay here again.

Love this place and will definitely be back when we next pop through Taupo. The managers were so warm and friendly, really went out of their way when we needed help with anything. Amenities were great considering the good value. Everything was sparkling clean and the showers were sooo good. There was enough kitchen equipment to whip up a simple lunch in the units. Beds were a bit too soft for us but that’s a personal preference.

We are a retired couple from Australia visiting NZ for the first time. We had booked this accommodation before leaving home, so hoped we had done our research well enough. We were not disappointed! Although about 3 km from the centre of town, it’s location is still very good; just a short stroll from the lake front and its wonderful path. And just a 5 minute drive if you wanted to visit the busy part of town. Our room was basic, but very well maintained with very convenient features such as a very good bed, good Wi-Fi, Sky TV, a well-equipped kitchenette and so on. Everything we needed was there. Would happily stay there again.

We liked the fact that there are only a few units here. Our unit (one bedroom) was spacious for two people and had everything we needed, including a nice outdoor area. The shower would be quite small for larger people. We thought it was a nice unit overall. There is an issue with the plumbing which probably isn't hard to fix - every time someone in another unit turns on the cold water, its very loud in the unit we were in which was annoying later at night and early in the morning with it going on and off frequently. We didn't know that this was a dog friendly place as we had booked this at the last minute, and one of us is highly allergic to dogs and cats, so if we stayed again, we would need to be assured that we had a unit that didn't ever have dogs to stay. I'm sure it is a great place for dog owners though, with a lovely park at the back which is a real bonus. We liked the location near the Sailing club and lake. The manager was excellent.…

Good location across from the lake. Nice restaurant bar a few steps.We have to say that we probably would have overlooked the motel but now with a pet this motel was our choice in Taupo.Some units are pet friendly. Whilst small as a studio we made it work even in the rain.Hosts helpful friendly. Units are not flash but clean.

I'm always anxious booking motels because you never know but was so glad I chose this one. Beautiful location, beautiful room, a short walk from the lake and town. Great recommendations from the owner. Didn't want the trip to end to be honest!

I loved that it was well set up for traveling with pets, and we weren't subjected to a barrage of rules. I also rate the shower a full 5*****. Across the road is a lively pub/pizza joint which is also dog friendly (though if only take smaller well socialised dogs).

We recently spent 3 nights staying here. The units (2 x one bedroom) were very clean, well appointed and had everything that we needed. We travelled with 3 adults and 7 children and the location was perfect, close to the 2 Mile Bay Sailing Club Cafe and a short drive into town for dinner and not far from De Bretts hot pools. We enjoyed our morning walks around the lake and two of the older children enjoyed using the motel bikes for a ride around the beautiful lake front. Thanks for your hospitality Jill & Julian, we will definitely be back!

What a memorable stay....great location lakeside with a pizza cafe bar across the road, dog friendly with a Reserve behind and the lake boardwalk (plenty of exercise area), Warm friendly hosts...taking the time to chat and welcome us, exceptionally clean & comfy unit. We booked the dog friendly unit, very comfortable, private, quiet & clean, across the road to the lake and a short stroll to a waterfront bar & pizza spot which was also dog friendly. Our hosts were very welcoming, we were travelling from the Sth Island to our new home further North, with two cars, a trailer, & two dogs they happily sorted secure off street parking for us. Wouldn’t hesitate to reccommend these guys, thanks for making our travels so easy.
