This is the second time I have choosen to stay at this property to break up my trip to Wellington. The room was very spacious with a sofa and kitchen area with a queen bed in the same room. Upstairs were two single beds on a mezzanine. This is no frills, but adequate for an overnight stop. Staff/owners super friendly and a lockbox available for afterhours key pick up.
We always stay in Taupō but this time our plans meant that staying in Turangi made more sense. Didn’t really know what to expect but our first impression put me totally at ease! The manager was absolutely lovely and genuinely very caring and a real pleasure to deal with. From there we went to our room and it was very clean and had everything you could possibly need while staying. The spas are nice and private which was great too. Very handy to everything location-wise and would definitely stay again!
Booked two three-bedroom units. Rooms are average-to-good, relatively clean... One unit's shower wasn't draining well. NO ADEQUATE HOT WATER for a shower in both the units. ..was around 1 decrees Celsius in the mornings!!.. The reason given.. "the power company turns the power off every night..."... that was sickeningly funny.. No apologies.. no compensation... no AROHA
I stayed 2 nights in a 2 bedroom unit. It was quite spacious, clean and had everything we need from kitchen utensils to a washing machine. Plenty of activities in the game room and the spa pool was great. Sarah in the reception is a friendly lady, who is more than happy to help you. She was always joyful, and was happy to make a few recommendations for us. I will definitely be recommending this place to my family and friends!!!
Only 50km to the most tourist attraction Lake Taupo, and 30km to vocano walking track. The resort is located at town centre but very quiet suroundings. White water rafting just next door, convenience for recreation.
