My wife and I stayed at Sue and Ronnie's for 1 night as we traveled around NZ. Prior to arrival communication was smooth, and when we got there Sue made us feel very welcome, asking questions and going out of her way to give information about Taupō in particular, and NZ generally.
The room and bathroom were spotless, looked brand new, with a very comfy bed, wardrobe, ceiling fan, and large shower. We made use of the earplugs provided as the walls are quite thin, and enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast with the other guests of toast, cereals, fruit and homemade frittatas, all prepared by Sue and Ronnie. We would definitely stay a night again (Taupō was lovely in the evening), and want to say what wonderful hosts Sue and Ronnie are :-)

Staying at Amori Lodge was a treat! Great location - a short walk from Taupo central - beautifully decorated and presented, spotlessly clean and everything we needed. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Staying at the Amori Lodge was a delightful experience. As our stay was during the winter we were the only guests, so we had the magnificent guest lounge to ourselves and our whole stay was very peaceful.

The bedroom and en-suite was a good size and the furnishings were modern, functional and stylish.

Sue and Ronnie were the ideal hosts, both friendly and helpful and they provided us with a delicious continental breakfast, served at one end of the guest lounge.

The Amori Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the area around Lake Taupo.

This is a no frills property- for the price .. you get clean accommodaiton, great powerful shower and a continental breakfast... though on our first day, we had a delicious quiche which Sue had baked that morning. Sue and Ronnie sit and chat with guests over breakfast, offering ideas for places to visit and things to see.. they are very relaxed and this helps sets the tone for the place. There is a communal area and we found that this was a good place to meet other people and on our second night, sat for hours talking with a lovely couple from Melbourne. The place was quiet - cannot understand other reviews that talked about thin walls and noise.. we found it quiet and restful. If we return to Taupo, would certainly stay at the Amori Lodge again.

This is a lovely little Bed and Breakfeast (I believe 3 rooms) that is brand new, close to major attractions and city center of Lake Taupo. The rooms are nice and very well appointed. They have free parking and free unlimited wifi. The morning breakfeast was continental (fruit/croissant/toast/jams) but was very nice and good to start the day. The hosts were very nice and all the advice they gave us for restaurant and activities were great! All the rooms have their private bathroom and TV and there is a common living room with free cookies/coffee/water for all the guests to enjoy. You do however need to watch out for noise as it is rooms one next to another (this is not a hotel and you need to be considerate for others) but we had a good night of sleep despite the B&B being fully booked. A great choice and value if in Lake Taupo!

Ronnie and Sue were excellent hosts, welcoming us into their recently built, nice clean and comfortable home, offering tips on what to do and where to visit, chatting with us over lovely homemade breakfasts. Although Goole maps still shows a vacant plot of land, Amori Lodge is definitely there, and highly recommended!

Super hosts, very, very comfortable accommodations, great breakfasts. Ron & Sue picked us up at the bus stop, gave us a lift to the "Rent A Dent" car rental, & are so knowledgable about the area & history of the south seas. We hope very much to see you again. Doug and Kay

The layout of this B and B lends itself to spending time with other travelers and the hosts. It was a great place to relax in Taupo. Breakfast was a great time to chat with each other; really getting to know people from other places. Bedroom and bathroom both good. Highly recommended as a place to spend some time.

My husband and I spent two nights at Amori Lodge and we really enjoyed it! Sue welcomed us as her friends and provided us with great tips from the area.
The B&B is very cute and clean. The facilities are very good as well. And breakfast is a plus. Fresh fruits, great coffee and awesome croissant!
We certainly recommend it!
